Skateboarder Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Striking Truck in Shoreline This Afternoon

Man, 29, transported to Harborview

This afternoon, Thurs. Sept. 20, about 3:07 p.m. a man riding a skateboard struck a truck in the 15700 block of Wallingford Ave. N. and suffered life-threatening injuries. 

According to witnesses, the truck was traveling north on Wallingford Avenue. The skateboarder, a 29-year-old man, was traveling east on 157 St. The skateboarder was unable to stop and struck the truck.

He was treated at the scene by Shoreline Fire and transported to Harborview with life threatening injuries.

The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
