Shoreline Police's Ridgecrest Storefront Closed Because of Smoke Damage
Overwhelming smoke smell from arson at neighboring Images Styling Salon will close Eastside storefront for at least two weeks
The Shoreline Police Neighborhood Center East, at 521 NE 165th Street, is currently closed due to smoke damage from last month’s arson fire at Images Styling Salon next door.
The storefront was not initially closed after the Dec. 18 fire, but is now.
"Our volunteers, and officers for that matter, can’t work inside because the smell is overwhelming. You know how smoke damage is," said Shoreline Police Administrative Sergeant Steve Sowers. "The owner of the building has hired a firm to hopefully eliminate the problem."

Police are hoping to re-open the facility within the next two weeks. Citizens are encouraged to utilize the Shoreline Police Station at 1206 North 185th St. in the interim. The phone number for the station is 206-805-2710. The King County Sheriff Arson Unit is conducting the arson investigation.
