Victim Stabbed During Robbery Attempt, 'Mountain of Fireworks' Confiscated at Park and Ride—Shoreline Police Blotter

The following blotter items range from June 30 to July 7. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 30

VANDALISM: Two vehicles were keyed in a driveway in the 16800 block of 1st Ave. NW.

July 1

DOG ATTACK: A woman was walking her poodle on Burke Avenue North near 160th Avenue North when a loose pit bull ran up and attacked her dog, biting it several times. The dog owner was also bitten in her hand.

LARCENY: A bicycle was stolen while it was locked up outside the Goodwill store at 14500 15th Ave. NE.

July 2

DRUGS: A subject was found smoking crack out of a crack pipe at Sears, 15711 Aurora Ave. N.

BURGLARY: A home in the 14500 block of 22nd Ave. NE was burglarized. Jewelry and electronics were taken. Police believe the culprit(s) gained access through an open bedroom window.

AUTO THEFT: A vehicle was stolen from the Metro park and ride at 17500 Meridian Ave. N. An attempted vehicle theft was also reported at the same location.

July 3

SHOPLIFTING: Shoplifting was reported at Walgreens, 14510 Aurora Ave. N.

July 4

FIREWORKS: Officers confiscated fireworks within the City of Shoreline.

VANDALISM: A home in the 600 block of NW 181st Court was egged.

MISCHIEF AND NUISANCE: Police made contact with an individual hosting an underage party in the 200 block of NW 195th St. Fireworks were confiscated and a warning was given.

July 5

FIREWORKS: Police made contact with three individuals lighting off a "mountain of fireworks" at the Shoreline Park and Ride, 18821 Aurora Ave. N. Fireworks were confiscated.

BURGLARY: A home was burglarized in the 18500 block of 15th Ave. NW. Perpetrator(s) used a screwdriver-like instrument to pry open French doors before ransacking the home.

BURGLARY: A home was burglarized in the 15500 block of Densmore Ave. N. Suspect(s) crawled in an open window after removing a clasp.

BURGLARY: A home in the 18000 block fo 8th Ave. NE was burglarized. A shotgun and handgun were stolen. Access was gained by cutting a screen on a bedroom window.

BIKE THIEF: A subject was arrested after trying to sell a stolen BMX bike through Craigslist. Arrested at Thriftway, 20036 Ballinger Way.

ASSAULT: A victim was stabbed in the ribs during a robbery attempt in the 19600 block of 19th Ave. NE.

July 6

BIKE THEFT: A bike was stolen from a bike rack at the Ballinger Commons, 230 block of NE 196th Place. The cable lock was cut.

AUTO THEFT: A vehicle was stolen from the Wells Fargo parking lot, 14500 Greenwood Ave. N.

July 7

LIQUOR VIOLATIONS: Four 18-year-olds were contacted at Richmond Beach Park at around 2:30 a.m. and found to be in possession of a small amount of alcohol and marijuana. Police gave warnings about the alcohol and marijuana and issued citations for being in the park after hours.
