Shoreline Police Blotter: Suspect High on Drugs Steals and Crashes Car

The following blotter items from March 22- April 1 and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

March 22

STOLEN iPAD:  Someone removed a male student’s iPad from his backpack inside a classroom at Shorewood.

CAR PROWL: Someone stole a car stereo from a car parked in the Aurora Village parking lot, in the 1100 block of N. 200th St.

March 23

WEAPON: Someone on the Shorewood campus was found to have a lighter, a metal tin with marijuana shake in it and a butterfly knife.

BURGLARY: Someone entered a home in the 17000 block of 11th Ave. N.E. likely using a knife or credit card to push the lock mechanism in.

DRUGGED DRIVING: A male driver was stopped at N. 149th St. and Aurora Ave. N. and was found to be driving with a suspended license and had a trace amount of meth and a pipe on him.

March 24

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT: Residents near N.E. 150th St. and 26th Ave. N.E. complained that vehicles run the east-west stop sign frequently, mostly between 1 and 6 p.m.

March 25

COMCAST INSTALLER ROBBED: A Comcast installer working at the Meadowbrook Apartments at 1400 N.W. Richmond Beach Road said someone broke into his company pickup’s cargo box and stole a laptop computer from inside.

CAR PROWLER ARRESTED: A victim of a car prowl in the 16000 block of Dayton Ave. N. interrupted the suspect and after a foot pursuit with deputies the suspect was arrested and booked in the Snohomish County Jail on vehicle prowl, theft, and obstruction charges.

BIKE STOLEN: An unlocked bicycle that was leaning against a wall unlocked was stolen from the victim’s carport in the 14700 block of 31st Ave. N.E. She was wiling to assist in prosecution.

March 26

ASSAULT: A man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend in the 20300 block of 14th Ave. N.E. He broke her phone to prevent her from calling 911 and punched a hole in her walls.

STALKING AND HARRASSMENT: Ongoing bullying and harassment was reported at Shorewood High School.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY: At Ballinger Homes, in the 20000 block of 21st Place N.E., a suspect choked a victim and took his Nike shoes. The next day when he was confronted he pulled a golf club out of his trunk and swung it at both victim’s and threatened to kill them.

March 27

STOLEN BACKPACK: Someone stole a backpack with identification, an iPad and garage door opener inside, from a locked locker from the girls locker room at Shorewood.

iPAD STOLEN: Someone removed an iPad from a girl’s backpack at Shorewood High School.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A man in the 700 block of 160th St. suffering from brain tumors and who has had numerous surgeries in the past and is traveling to Vietnam to receive additional treatment for his worsening condition, claimed his vehicle was stolen and returned overnight.

BURGLARY AND CAR THEFT: Someone apparently high on drugs stole a couple’s car in the 16700 block of Ashworth Ave. N. and crashed it in their front yard.

CAR PROWL: Someone smashed a passenger side window in the 2100 block of N. 150th St. and stole a computer and other electronics from inside.

ASSAULT: A roommate in the 1800 block of N.E. 175th St. pinched the victim’s breasts without her consent.

March 28

DRUNKENNESS: An extremely intoxicated guy was found sleeping next to Shoreline City Hall. He was sent to the hospital for detoxification.

PACKAGE STOLEN: Known suspects took a FedEx delivery from suspects from the 100 block of N. 185th St.

GAS STOLEN: Two holes were drilled into gas tank of a vehicle parked on N.W. 175th St. and fuel was taken.

March 29

HEDGE TRIMMER GONE: Someone took an electric hedge trimmer from a residence in the 18200 block of 15th Ave. N.E.

ILLEGAL DUMPING: Someone threw clothes, shoes and cans on the ground next to trailers on a gravel lot at Evergreen RV Services, 16610 Aurora Ave. N.

iPHONE STOLEN FROM POKER PLAYER: A person was playing poker at Hollywood Casino and had his or her iPhone stolen. A possible suspect was identified.

STUDENTS VANDALIZE SHORELINE CC: Three suspects tagged the Shoreline Community College music building. School employees identified the suspects as students and $1,220 in damage was assessed.

LIQUOR STOLEN: A suspect stole high-end liquor off the shelf and fled on foot from the Washington State Liquor store at 15230 Aurora Ave. N.

March 30

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A student at Kellogg Middle School reported to the vice principal and a police officer that she wanted to kill herself.

SMASH AND GRAB: The windows of two cars parked at Twin Ponds Park were smashed and two bags and purse were taken.

March 31

BURGLARY: Suspects entered an apartment via force through a front window in the 300 block of Richmond Beach Road and took items.

PARTY HOUSE: Noise was reported a problem party house in the 700 block of N. 201st St. 

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: A man was found unconscious in his trailer after an apparent suicide attempt with pills in the 15700 block of Greenwood Ave. N.

April 1

BURGLARY: A guy was found sleeping in the victim’s vehicle in the 19500 block of Fremont Ave. N. after attempting to take the vehicle using the wrong keys he stole from the victim’s house.

DRUNKENNESS: A very drunk man in wheelchair was found in the middle of Aurora Ave. N. near 200th St. unable to care for himself.
