May 21

DRUG OVERDOSE:  Police responded to a heroin overdose on the 14700 block of 8th Avenue NE.

May 22

DUI ACCIDENT: A driver, suspected of being under the influence, hit a car while pulling out of a casino parking lot on the 17100 block of Aurora Avenue.

VEHICLE PROWL:  Police responded to a report of a vehicle prowl on the 14800 block of Whitman Avenue N. The interior had been ransacked sometime overnight.

May 23

STOLEN SIGNS: Someone stole three yard signs from a property on 19500 block of 8th Avenue NW.

May 24

SHOPLIFTING: Police reported responded to a complaint that a man had shoplifted from Rite Aid at 20132 Ballinger Way N, only to find the man in the process of shoplifting from the neighboring Starbucks. The man then admitted to being addicted to heroin, and police found he was carrying needles.

CRAIGSLIST SCAM: A person tried to sell a ring on Craigslist to an out-of-state buyer. The buyer allegedly defrauded the seller through an Internet transaction.

ASSAULT: Police arrested a woman on the 16700 block of N Park Avenue on suspicion of striking her 19-year-old daughter in the arm.

DUI: A man was arrested for third-degree DUI and driving with a suspended license on the 17500 block of Aurora Avenue.

May 25

UNDERAGE DRINKING: Two underage teens were caught pulling another teen in a wagon on the 17300 block of 5th Avenue NE. One fled on foot, one was taken to the Denny Youth Center on a warrant, and the third was taken home.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Someone stole a van that was parked on the shoulder of the road on the 1700 block of NE 175th St.

STOLEN CHECK FROM MAILBOX: Someone stole a check from the mailbox of a resident on the 300 block of NW 201 Place. The suspect altered the check and then cashed it.

STOLEN TOOLS: Someone stole Snap-On tools from a storage area at SCC Auto Shop at 1610 Greenwood Ave.

SEXUAL OFFENSE: Police received a report of sexual contact between residents at a group home at the 16300 block of Interlake Ave. N. Police say the victim won’t say more without an attorney.

May 26

STEALING FROM VEHICLE: Someone broke the window of a vehicle on the 2500 block of NW 192nd Place and stole items from inside.

FOUND ITEMS: Someone found jewelry and a digital camera on the Interurban Trail along the 17200 block of Midvale Avenue N.

STEALING FROM VEHICLE: Someone broke into a vehicle on the 17500 block of Linden Avenue N and stole a backpack.

 May 27

SLASHED TIRES: Someone slashed the tires of a Chevy Tahoe on the 20100 block of 20th Place NE.

BURGLARY: Someone on the 500 block of N 185th Place reported that someone stole tools from her open garage.

MARIJUANA: Police cited someone for possession of marijuana and a pipe on the 18500 block of 8th Avenue NE.

COCAINE: Police stopped a man for speeding on the 16200 block of 5th Avenue NE and arrested him on suspicion of cocaine possession.

DUI AND SPEEDING: Police stopped someone for driving 90 miles per hour through traffic on northbound Interstate 5 near the NE 205th Street exit. The suspect registered a blood alcohol level of 0.151.

May 28

GLUE IN THE DOOR LOCKS: Someone glued the door locks of a car parked at the Arden Adult Care Home on Aurora Avenue.

QUESTIONABLE BEHAVIOR: Someone reported a man sitting on a car and masturbating near a playground at Twin Ponds Park. The man had left by the time police arrived.

ARGUMENT AT LAUGHING LADIES CAFE: An employee of Laughing Ladies Cafe grabbed the boss during an argument over a paycheck.

May 29

UNDERAGE DRINKING: Four 19- and 20-year-olds were reportedly drinking beer at Richmond Beach Park after hours.

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: A man tried to kill himself twice outside an apartment on the 14500 block of Phinney Avenue N. The man reportedly tried to asphyxiate himself with propane, then tried cutting himself.

MONEY STOLEN FROM LAUGHING LADIES CAFE: Someone reportedly used the alarm code to Laughing Ladies Cafe to enter the business and steal money from the cash register. The person left the alarm disarmed and the door unlocked upon leaving.

May 30

BURGLARY: Someone reportedly stole items from a man’s house while he was in the process of moving out of the 800 block of 153rd Place.

ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT: Someone tried to steal a Suzuki vehicle from the 19600 block of Sunnyside Drive N.
