The following blotter items were selected from Shoreline Police reports from May 16 through May 22.

May 16

BURGLARY: Someone stole items from a house on the 17200 block of 11th Avenue NE.

May 17

LARCENY: A woman reported that her sister had stolen a prescription bottle of Diazepram (Valium) from her home on N 180th St.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES: Someone stole the rear license plate from a vehicle parked at the Meadowbrook Apartments on NW Richmond Beach Drive.

FELONY ARREST: Police pulled over and arrested a suspect on drug and DUI charges at 16500 Aurora Avenue N.

LARCENY: Police responded to reports of a “chronic shoplift suspect” who has allegedly stolen from several Walgreens drugstores, including the 17524 Aurora Ave. N location on May 17. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male in his 30s and 5-foot-10 with a thin build and short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a brown and white striped shirt and khaki pants.

FRAUD: A woman reported receiving a call from Capitol One Credit Services, informing her that someone had made a $330.81 charge to her credit card. The suspect who used her personal information has not been identified.

May 18

DISTURBANCE: Police responded to a fight between friends on the 14500 block of Stone Avenue N early in the morning after the two had come back from a night hanging out on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

FRAUD: A woman noticed her credit card had been stolen after receiving a large bill from her credit card company.

LARCENY: Someone stole a TV from a closet at Alpha Support Living on Dayton Place N. The facility is an assisted living home for developmentally disabled adults.

VANDALISM: Someone broke windows at a home on NW 192nd Place.

May 19

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER: A suspect damaged someone’s property and then lied to police about her identity, claiming to be her sister.

LARCENY: Someone stole a wallet from a vehicle parked at Goodwill on 15th Avenue NE.

FORGED PRESCRIPTIONS: A woman tried to call in a fake prescription for 40 Oxycodone pills at Safeway. She identified herself as a Jackie who works for Cascade Orthopedics.

LARCENY: Someone siphoned gas from two U-Haul trucks parked at U-Haul of North Seattle.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Police responded to a report of an 18-mont-old child falling from a window onto a cement driveway on 25th Avenue NE.

May 20

BURGLARY: Someone broke through window slats at The Grill King on 15740 Aurora Avenue N and stole three boxes of alcohol and coins that were sitting in cups below the cash register.

VANDALISM: Someone broke the driver-side window of a car parked on the 1500 block of Dayton Avenue N.

FEONY ARREST:  Police arrested a man with an outstanding felony warrant when he was caught reporedly stealing beer from the Central Market at 15505 Westminster.

May 21

VADALISM: Someone drove up to a house on the 16500 block of 27th Ave. NE and threw a large rock through the window. The family was inside the home at the time.

May 22

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: Police took a man to Stevens Hospital when he called 911 to report feeling suicidal. Police took the man’s handgun.

BURGLARY: Someone threw a rock through the window of Aurora Prints and stole cash drawers.

LARCENY: Someone stole two laptops and a video camera from Aurora Church of the Nazerene.

PROSTITUTION:  Someone was arrested for picking up a prostitute on the 14500 block of Whitman Avenue.

DRUGS: Police caught a woman trying to snort cocaine from her bra while she was in a holding cell at the police station after being arrested on suspicion of DUI.
