Shoreline Police Blotter: Man With Child Rape Warrant Attempts Suicide

The following blotter items from Jan. 16 – Jan. 21 and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

JAN 16

DUI: A driver, who was stopped for an improper lane change, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, in the 14500 block of Aurora Ave. N.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Someone broke the door jam of a front door, of a home in the 19800 block of Linden Ave. N., attempting to get inside the home.

DRUNKENNESS: A woman, who had recently been released from Highline Hospital's detox unit, was found walking around near Fred Meyer, pushing her walker, in just her hospital scrubs and socks.

JAN 17

FRAUD: Someone used a credit card, that didn't belong to them, to make two $40 charges on iTunes.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A man, with a felony warrant for child rape, slit his wrist with broken glass after being detained by his friends in an attempt to get him to turn himself in. Later, he jumped out of an ambulance, that was transporting him to a hospital for treatment, and fled.

JAN 18

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Two people, caught breaking into an unlocked car at the Woodridge Apartments, were found to be in possession of marijuana.

ASSAULT: A woman and her boyfriend were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical fight.

FRAUD: An elderly male received a phone call from someone pretending to be his eldest grandson. The man was attempting to con money out of him.

JAN 19

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A woman was walking down the middle of N.E. 205th, in the snow, making homicidal statements and claiming that she had seen aliens.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE: A woman said that her brother pushed her during an argument.

JAN 20

LARCENY: Someone was seen, on video, taking bags out of an unlocked car, in the parking lot of Goldie's Casino on Aurora Ave. N.

THREATS: Misdemeanor domestic violence escalated to threats to kill, and slashing tires with a knife, in the 100 block of  N. 185th St.

LARCENY: Someone stole a chocolate milk from Top Foods.

JAN 21

RECKLESS DRIVING: Someone, who was pulled over for reckless driving for failing to stop and driving without lights, had marijuana in their possession.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A man left a suicidal note for his family before driving away in his car.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into a home, in the 15500 block of Interlake Ave. N., stole jewelry.
