Shoreline Police Blotter: Lucy the Beagle Dognapped From Fenced Yard
The following blotter items range from April 11, 2012 - April 17, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.
April 11
VANDALISM: Somone tagged the Starbucks drive-thru sign at 20121 Aurora Ave. N. with an expletive causing $300 worth of damage.

DUI: A male driver was stopped at N. 175th and Wallingford Ave. N. for speeding 13 miles over the limit and was subsequently arrested for DUI after giving a reading of .171 on a breath test.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: An agitated male resident of Fircrest escaped and was making threats and was assaultive. He was taken to Harborview.
April 15
VANDALISM: Someone painted green and white graffiti on the baseball field fences, a light pole and a power transformer at Meridan Park Elementary School.
HIT & RUN: A male driver was involved in a collision in the 15900 block of Aurora Ave. N. and fled the scene and was involved in a second collision. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor's office for charges of Hit and Run Occupied and Reckless Driving.
GAS STOLEN: A male driver pulled into the Safeway Fuel Station at 17202 15th Ave. N.E. and filled up without paying for his gas.
DOGNAPPING: Someone stole Lucy the beagle from an unlocked gate in a fenced yard in the 500 block of N.E. 148th St.
AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a Subaru Impreza from the parking lot of the Village Vista Apartments, in the 20000 block of Whitman Ave. N.
April 16
CHAIN SAWS STOLEN: A man reported that three chain saws and a camera lens were stolen from his truck at his home in the 17300 block of 12th Ave. N.W. He suspects an employee took the items.
BURGLARY: Someone stole copper wire from a shipping container behind All City Electric, 619 N.W. Richmond Beach Road.
KITEBOARDER IN DISTRESS: Two witnesses reported that a kite boarder had fallen off shore at Richmond Beach and appeared to be in distress. One witness said he was paddling his way in and appeared to be OK. The other witness however told police he did not look well.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A female driver was arrested for driving while license suspended at N. 145th St. and Aurora Ave. N. Heroin and methamphetimine were recovered and she was booked into King County Jail.
EAT AND LEAVE: Five juvenile males between 15 and 18 years of age walked out of Denny's, 904 N. 155th St., without paying for their meal.
April 17
BURGLARY: A man left his home in the 17000 block of 15th Ave. N.W. to go work out in the morning and when he returned at 8:30 a.m he discovered unknown suspects had broken into his house and ransacked it taking a checkbook and gift card.
VANDALISM: Someone used lavender spray paint to write "DBL SADISTIC" on the side of a wood shed on the south side of the Center of Human Services, 17018 15th Ave. N.E.
CHILD AFRAID TO GO HOME: An eight-year-old student at Echo Lake Elementary was afraid to go home and the principal called Child Protective Services and the police.
BURGLARY: Someone walked in the front door of a home in the 300 block of N.W. 200th St. and then stole a vehicle.
