Shoreline Police Blotter: June 8-14

The following blotter items and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 8

STOLEN PIPE: Someone cut a fence at the Seattle City Light substation at 2136 N 163 St. and stole a pipe.

STOLEN PURSE: Someone stole a purse from a woman at Richmond Beach Park.

THREATS AT TOP FOODS: A man allegedly told the manager at Top Foods on N 175th St. that he would kill him after the manager caught the man eating beef jerky without paying. Police found crack cocaine during the man’s arrest.

June 9

DUI: A man was arrested on the 200 block of NE 155th Street on suspicion of DUI. The man registered a .17/.18 blood alcohol level.

CUT FENCE: Someone cut a hole in a fence at the NW School for the Hearing impaired. Nothing was stolen.

DISAPPEARING LAPTOP: Someone left a backpack and computer unattended at Shorewood High School. From the police report: “The computer grew legs and walked away.”

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Someone allegedly assaulted his or her fiancé at the Meadowbrook Apartments on the 1400 block of Richmond Beach Drive. The victim fled the scene and could not be located.

June 10

SUSPECTED ROBBERY: A woman claimed she was robbed at knifepoint at Safeway on the 15300 block of Aurora Avenue N. and lost approximately $300, but she refused to assist in the prosecution of the suspect.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into Family Time Restaurant and punched a hole through the drywall to Aurora Prints, stealing cash from the tills.

SCHOOL BURGLARY: Someone broke into the annex of Aldercrest School and was caught on video. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

STOLEN BIKE: Someone stole a bike from a carport on the 1600 block of Ashworth Avenue N.

June 11

Marijuana: Police arrested a driver for possession of a small amount of marijuana at the intersection of N 185h Street and Meridian Avenue.

UNDERAGE DRINKING: Police cited four people for underage drinking at Innis Arden Reserve after hours.

BURGLARY: After being let in to a house, someone stole items from a kitchen table and car while the victims slept.

DISTRUBANCE/ABUSE: Police allegedly found bruises on a 4-year-old child after two parents met at Starbucks at 1295 N 205th St. to exchange custody. The child began to cry in the store and the father reportedly grabbed the daughter and put her in his vehicle.

SWAPPING PLATES/DRUGS: A man reportedly switched the license plates on the SUV to avoid a license tax. He had a suspended license and police found more than 25 ounces of marijuana in his car.

June 12

STOLEN CAR: A man reported that his car had been stolen from the 1300 block of N 152nd Street overnight. Police reportedly found the victim’s son driving the stolen car and impounded it.

SLASHED TIRES: Someone slashed the tires of a car parked on the 14800 block of 15th Avenue NE. This was the second occurrence in two months.

STOLEN COPPER: Someone broke the fence of a Seattle City Light substation at 2136 N 163 St. and stole copper items.

June 13

ASSAULT: A man on the 14500 block of Stone Avenue N. reportedly hit his girlfriend in the back with a belt and then grabbed her hair and dragged her on the ground during an argument.

COUNTERFEIT MONEY: Someone tried to pass off counterfeit bills at Club Hollywood Casino.

June 14

STOLEN WALLET FROM NURSERY: Someone stole a woman’s wallet from her purse at Sky Nursery.

LOST GREEN CARD: Someone reported a missing a U.S. Immigration card after leaving it at the Shoreline Library. The card did not show up in lost and found.
