Shoreline Police Blotter July 9-18

The following blotter items and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

July 9

PROSTITUTION: Police cited someone for loitering for the purpose of prostitution on the 100 block of Evanston Avenue N.

July 10

LARCENY: A middle-aged man and a middle-aged woman reportedly stole a power adapter from Radio Shack at 18407 Aurora Avenue N.

VANDALISM: Someone threw eggs at a car and a house owned by a woman on the 18600 block of 20th Place NE.

July 12

DUI: An off-duty officer found a driver screaming at a construction flagger at N 175th Street and Aurora Avenue N. The driver was arrested for DUI.

TRESSPASSING: A 20-year-old camp counselor took a group of preschoolers on a field trip over railroad tracks.

MARIJUANA: Police arrested someone for possessing marijuana at Sunset Elementary. The suspect reportedly admitted to small-scale selling.

July 13

COCAINE: Police found cocaine while arresting a man on suspicion of DUI on northbound I-5 near the N 175th Street exit.

RAPE: Police responded to a suspected rape at the Rodeway Inn on Aurora Avenue. The victim was sent to Harborview Medical Center.

BURGLARY: Someone cut a hole through a wall to Green Cure Wellness Center, a marijuana dispensary, and activated a security alarm.

AUTO THEFT: Someone reportedly stole a woman’s car from Shoreline Bank at 20011 Ballinger Way NE.

LARCENY: A woman reported that she a man rummaging through her hand bag at her office desk at a nursing home on 15th Avenue NW.

July 14

MARIJUANA: Police pulled over a driver on the 18400 block of 1st Avenue NE and found marijuana. The person was also driving with a revoked license.

RAPE: Police are investigating a 19-year-old man who lives on the 19500 block of 7th Avenue NE who reportedly raped his 9-year-old cousin twice.

CHILD ABUSE: Police investigated a report of child abuse near NE 177th Street and 15th Avenue NE. The mother is suspected of abusing one or all of her three children.

July 15

DUI: Police arrested a man on suspicion of DUI at the intersection of N 175th Street and Aurora Avenue N. The driver reportedly stopped at a red flashing light and did not move for a long period of time.

IDENITY THEFT: Someone stole a woman’s personal information and wrote checks to 88 people.

ROBBERY AND ASSAULT: Someone allegedly stole beer from Safeway at 15332 Aurora Avenue N and then assaulted a loss prevention officer on the way out.

AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a car from an apartment on the 1300 block of 200th Street. The victims believe it could have been two men they met the previous night at a bar in Edmonds.

July 16

LOUD PARTY: Police responded to a report of a loud party on the 1800 block of N 200th Street. The person at the party who talked to police gave false information.

COUNTERFEIT: Someone paid for groceries at QFC on Richmond Beach Drive using a fraudulent $100 bill.

July 17

FIREWORKS BOMB: Someone used fireworks to blow up a mailbox on the 18000 block of 2nd Avenue NE.

ANOTHER MAILBOX EXPLOSION: Someone heard an exploding sound on the 20300 block of Fremont Avenue N. The woman found her mailbox damaged.

VEHICLE BREAK-IN: Someone broke into a car and stole several things from a car parked at Hamlin Park.

July 18

RUNAWAY JEEP: An unoccupied Jeep ran off a roadway and into a drainage ditch at 18800 block of 5th Avenue NE. The driver was not around and the vehicle was impounded.

LARCENY: Someone reported seeing a man steal a bike from an open carport on the 1700 block of Fremont Avenue N.
