Shoreline Police Blotter: July 28-August 6

The following blotter items and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

July 28

STOLEN JEWELRY: A woman reportedly attempted to steal $503.95 worth of jewelry from Costco.

BURGLARY: Someone climbed a tree and tried to enter a home on the 17200 block of 15th Avenue NW, tripping the alarm.

UNDERAGE DRINKING: Police found several minors drinking at Innis Arden Reserve afterhours.

July 31

DUI ACCIDENT: Police responded to a report that a man’s vehicle had been stolen. Upon arriving at the 19200 block of 18th Avenue NE, police found the man driving the vehicle. He was arrested after registering a .196 and .219 blood alcohol level.

DRUNKENNESS: Police found a “heavily intoxicated” man who had fallen to the ground at a bus stop on the 15200 block of Aurora Avenue N. The man was taken in for detox.

AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a car from the 16200 block of 10th Avenue NE.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into a house on the 16500 block of Densmore Avenue N. by way of an open second floor window.

August 1

LITTLE CAESAR’S BUGLARY: Someone broke into Little Caesar’s Pizza at 18336 Aurora Avenue N and stole $2,505.

DRUNKENNESS: Police took a man who had registered a .289 blood alcohol level on the 14500 block of Aurora Avenue to a medical facility. Police say the man claimed to have been drinking Four Loko.

AUTO THEFT: After buying a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria from Burien Auto Sales, a man reported it stolen from the 18100 block of 12th Avenue NE. Police said they could find no report of sale associated with the license plate, but the man had sales paperwork.

ASSAULT: Police arrested a juvenile who reportedly put his mother in a headlock at the 1400 block of Richmond Beach Drive.

August 2

LARCENY: Someone stole a computer from a bedroom at a house on the 14500 block of 31st Avenue NE.

SCAMS: Someone sent $2,425 to a scam artist in Nigeria.

BURGLARY: Someone stole computers and cash from a home on the 1600 block of Midvale Avenue. The back door had been left open so cats could go in and out of the house.

DRUNKENNESS: Police found someone passed out in the Sears parking lot.

August 3

HIT AND RUN: A driver crashed into a tree at the 20300 block of 12th Avenue NW and fled on foot without being found.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS: Police are following up on continued complaints of drivers not stopping at a four-way stop at NE 165th Street and 10th Avenue NE and speeding.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: Someone arrived at Bank of America on Firlands Way N and made a scene, claiming (falsely) to be in possession of counterfeit bills and making suicidal threats.

August 4

DUI: Police arrested a man on suspicion of DUI on the 230 block of N 155th Street.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: Police found a man screaming at his trailer and hitting it with a baseball bat on the 1700 block of N 185th Street.

DRUNKENNESS: An apparently intoxicated man fell outside of the North City Tavern and refused to go to the hospital.

August 5

LARCENY: Someone stole four chainsaws from a Barnett Tree Care work truck.

THREATS: A dispute on the 15500 block of Interlake Avenue N escalated into threats and harassment, with one person reportedly wielding a gun.

BURGLARY: Someone took eight iron caldrons from the back of Old Korean Village Restaurant.

August 6

BURGLARY: Someone broke into a vacant house on the 2100 block of N 167th Street and stole some items.

DRUNKENNESS: A drunk man got into an argument with his fiancé about her substance abuse on the 19200 block of 14th Avenue NE.
