Burglaries, larceny, auto theft, a burned jacket and a stolen tip jar

The following items are from Shoreline Police reports from Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, 2011.

Jan. 31

 LARCENY: Someone broke a door lock of a vehicle and took a CD from inside at the Hideaway Casino at 1425 Aurora Ave. N.

 LARCENY: Someone smashed vehicle windows and stole purses while the victims were swimming at Shoreline Pool at 18030 1st Ave. N.E.

 LARCENY: Someone was cited for shoplifting at Fred Meyer at 18325 Aurora Ave. N.

 LARCENY: Someone was cited for shoplifting at Goodwill at 14500 15th Ave. N.E.

 VANDALISM: Someone spray painted black graffiti “DEATHBOX” and “GR5” on the Seattle Public Utilities Foy Standpipe water tower at 14508 Dayton Ave. N.

 BURGLARY: A white man in his 20s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt broke into a home in the 500 block of N.W. 201st Place using a rock to a break a window and then opening a latch to climb inside.

 LARCENY: Someone took clothing from a washing machine at an apartment complex in the 14800 block of 14th Ave. N.E.

 Feb. 1

 ROBBERY: An 11- year old student at St. Luke’s  (17533 Saint Luke’s Place) was forced into a secluded alcove by an unknown black male person and patted down. After he found nothing in her pockets the suspect fled on foot.

 BURGLARY: Someone kicked in a back door and broke into a home in the 18800 block of Midvale Ave. N. and stole a laptop.

 VANDALISM: Someone vandalized the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 14901 30th Ave. N.E. with black spray paint.

 ASSAULT: Someone threw an apple core at a male person in the 1500 block of N.E. 147th St. that struck him in the eye and caused pain.

 

Feb. 2

MARIJUANA (MISDEMEANOR): A traffic stop at 1200 N. 175th St. outside Top Foods found a driver had marijuana and pipe.

 CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A traffic stop in the 14500 block of Stone Ave. N. led to the discovery of cocaine and outstanding warrants.

 DRUNKENNESS: A drunken man fell down several times at North 160th St. and Dayton Ave. N. and was transported to the hospital.

 ARSON: Suspects in the 19300 block of Wallingford Ave. set fire to the victim’s jacket with a lighter and then ripped it because they didn’t like her.

 

Feb. 3

 OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER: A person stopped for a bicycle violation in the 19900 block of 8th Ave. N.W. was arrested for obstructing an officer.

 FRAUD: A woman in the 800 block of N.E. 189th St. said she found her checking account depleted and then started researching her account and found fraudulent withdrawals totaling $8,000 had been occurring since July 2010.

 

Feb. 4

 AUTO THEFT: Someone stole an unlocked work truck from Walgreen’s in North 175th and Aurora Ave. N.

 LARCENY: A man and woman pushed a shopping cart full of food, clothing and bedding items out of the emergency exit doors of Fred Meyer at 18325 Aurora Ave. N.

 

Feb. 5

 LARCENY: A drunken man went to the beer section at Costco and shoplifted beer by placing it inside his sleeves.

 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Someone struck a person in the face with a cell phone during an argument in the 20000 block of 21st Place N.E.

 LARCENY: A tall, thin white man about 40 years old wearing a black beanie and brown jacket stole merchandise from Radio Shack, 1235 N. 205th St. and fled on foot.

 ASSAULT: A boyfriend and girlfriend in the 14500 block of Stone Ave. N. got into an argument over a vehicle title. The boyfriend who was drunk punched a window and the glass cut the girlfriend’s face.

 

Feb. 6

 AUTO THEFT: A dark green 1995 Honda Accord was stolen from Ballinger Homes in the 2200 block of N.E. 200th Court.

 BURGLARY: Someone stole a laptop from a home in the 1000 block of Perkins Way and slashed the convertible top of a car to steal stereo equipment.

 AUTO THEFT: A vehicle was stolen from the 15800 block of 25th Ave. N.E.

 AUTO THEFT:  A black Honda Del Sol was stolen from the 19600 block of Bagley Lane N.E. despite being locked and having a club device on the steering wheel.

 VANDALISM: Someone spray painted a tag on a business truck in the 14700 block of 26th Ave. N.E.

 LARCENY: A suspect ordered food and stole the tip jar from Pho Tic Tac at 14515 Aurora Ave. N.
