Shoreline Police Blotter: iPad Thefts Continue at Shorewood High School
The following blotter items from Jan. 22 – Jan. 28 and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.
JAN 22
ASSAULT: An intoxicated patron was involved in a physical fight with a bartender at the Drift On Inn, on Aurora Ave. N.
SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A man, who said he was feeling depressed, tried to kill himself by overdosing on Tylenol.

BURGLARY: Someone broke a window, of a home in the 16000 block of 10th Ave. N.E., reached in and unlocked the door. They looked through cabinets and closets, but did not take credit cards that were left in open view.

FRAUD: Someone used a bogus check to purchase a vehicle at Payless Auto Sales.
ASSAULT: Two men were involved in physical fight outside of a 7-Eleven, on N. 160th St.
ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE: Police pursued a reckless driver on Aurora Ave. N.
JAN 24
ROBBERY: A guest at the Rodeway Inn was assaulted and robbed, after someone forced his or her way into the victim’s hotel room.
LARCENY: Two iPads were stolen from Shorewood High School.
LARCENY: Someone broke into a car, parked in Hamlin Park, and stole various items.
JAN 25
AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a white 1995 Honda Civic from the parking lot of the Ballinger Commons Apartments.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A man was caught giving his medical marijuana to an unauthorized person, while parked on a city street.
JAN 26
ANIMAL PROBLEM: A Rottweiler bit someone at Shoreview Park.
DISTURBANCE: The noise ordinance was violated at juvenile party, in the Meadowbrook Apartments.
LARCENY: A man stole a sleeping bag and a tent from Fred Meyer.
JAN 27
LARCENY: A woman, living in the Meadowbrook Apartments, pawned a ring that her 3-year-old daughter took from a neighbor’s apartment.
FRAUD: Someone made five fraudulent charges on a debit card, totaling $649.60. The victim’s card is kept in a safe, and they don’t know how the number was obtained.
DRUNKENNESS: A man, who was passed out on the side of the road on Ashworth Ave. N., was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was transported to NW Hospital for detox.
FIREARM: Two handguns were found inside of an apartment, in the 20000 block of 15th Ave. N.E., where a DEA taskforce had served a warrant earlier in the week.
JAN 28
PROSTITUTION: Two people were involved in prostitution activity, near the Rodeway Inn on Aurora Ave. N.
LARCENY: A woman ordered and consumed $16.71 worth of food, at Denny’s, and refused to pay.
