Shoreline Police Blotter: Family Disturbance at Calvary Church

The following blotter items range from May 31, 2012 – June 2, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

MAY 31

LARCENY AT BALLINGER COMMONS APARTMENTS:  Unknown suspects went car-prowling overnight at 19927 Sunnyside Dr N.  A silver, 4-door, Honda Accord was parked in the lot by the home of the victim.  The suspects forced open the driver’s side lock with a screwdriver and stole a checkbook.

VANDALISM AT YMCA:  An unknown suspect struck a victim’s door with the suspect’s car door.  This happened in the parking at 19200 Aurora Ave North.

AUTO THEFT:  A person in the 1100 block of North 152nd Street reported that someone stole his/her car.

ASSAULT AT WOODVIEW APARTMENTS:  A woman in the 20400 block of 19th Ave NE reported to police that she tried to stop a fight in her apartment. While getting involved in the dispute, the woman received a knife cut above her right eye.

JUNE 1

LARCENY AT SHORELINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE:  A man left his wallet on a copy machine and returned a few hours later to find the wallet gone.  The man found activity on his Bank of America debit card for approximately $200 and a Capital One Debit card for $25.  All the banks were notified and the cards cancelled.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE AT CALVARY CHURCH:  A wife contacted police to report that she and her ex-husband got into a verbal dispute that became physical.  She said the ex-husband had a box cutter and she received a cut when she went to kick the box cutter out of his hands.  Her ex-husband says she wouldn’t get out of the car and when she finally did exit the car, she broke off the door handle.  The ex-wife says the ex-husband reached over and attacked/scratch her.  The woman had a superficial cut.  This incident happened in the 1400 block of NE 155th.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS AT BRIARWOOD APTS:  A woman in the 18000 block of Midvale Ave North said she had a bomb inside of her and was trying to get the bomb out.  The woman has not taken her medications for a week.  Her case manager will help her.

LARCENY AT KING’S HIGH SCHOOL:  A young man said he left his cell phone in his jean pocket.  The young man changed clothes for baseball practice and placed the pair of jeans in an unlocked locker.  None of the lockers have locks.  Someone stole the jeans with the cell phone inside.  This happened at 19303 Fremont Ave North.

FORGED DOCUMENTS:  Someone in the 700 block of NE 198th Street found flash drives with blank driver’s licenses and checks on each flash drive. 

FRAUD:  A person in the 900 block of N 178th Street was taken advantage by an International Mystery Shopper scam.  The victim lives in the 900 block of N 178th Street and lost over $2,000 due to a fake check and wire transfer.

FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT:  Someone in the 16000 block of 8th Ave NE was assaulted by his/her long time partner’s son.  The son pushed the person to the ground, twisted the person’s arms to cause pain.

NARCOTICS AT SHORELINE SKATE PARK:  A woman who lives nearby 15500 – 10th Ave NE is a block watch captain for her neighborhood.  For a few days, the woman has noticed narcotics activity at the skate park.

JUNE 2

FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT/DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:  Someone in the 18700 block of Meridian Ave N slapped someone else with his/her hands.  No other information was given.
