Shoreline Police Blotter: Facebook Party Invitation Results in Fight & Larceny

The following blotter items range from May 2, 2012 - May 6, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

May 2

MORE THAN A “FOOT” MASSAGE?:  A business close by to Lucky Foot Massage, 14711 Aurora Ave N reported suspicious circumstances to the Shoreline Police Department.  The police suspect prostitution acts at Lucky Foot Massage.

DEATH INVESTIGATION:  A terminally ill cancer patient in the 19300 block of 5th Ave NE used a small caliber revolver in an apparent suicide.

STOLEN VEHICLE FROM EVERGREEN RV:  A vehicle was stolen from 16610 Aurora Ave N.

HOME BURGLARY:  Someone kicked in the front door of a home in the 1700 block of N 175th Street.  No other information was provided.

LARCENY AT WALGREEN’S:  A person stole a brand new green Redline bike from the front of Walgreen’s Drug Store at 14510 Aurora Ave North.  The bike was left unlocked by owner.

May 3

PERSON FOUND IN ABANDONED CAR WITH A WARRANT:  An individual was found in an abandoned car in the parking lot of Earl’s Garage at 14527 – 15th Ave NE.

TROUBLE AT SHOREWOOD COURT APARTMENTS:  A boyfriend kicked his girlfriend after a verbal dispute in the 1100 block of N 180th Street.

BURGLARY AT FOREST HILLS CONDOS:  Someone had their home burglarized in the 17900 block of 23rd Court NE.

IPADS STOLEN AT SHOREWOOD HIGH SCHOOL:  Someone stole an iPad from a victim’s backpack during an auto tech class.

STOLEN CAR:  A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of The Village Market Thriftway at 20150 Ballinger Way North.

BURGLARY AT KULENAS FOREST HILL:  Someone used a pry tool to enter a victim’s garage and stole items out of a car.  The apartment has a detached garage in the 17000 block of 23rd Lane NE.

BURGLARY: Someone entered through an open window and stole change and electronics in the 15500 block of 14th Ave NE. 

MORE BURGLARY:  Someone pried off a screen of a rear window at a home in the 3000 block of N 150th Street.  No other information was given.

BURGLARY AT LAKE HOUSE APARTMENTS:  Someone entered an apartment in the 1300 block of N 200th Street.  The burglary was not forced and it is unknown how the suspect entered the apartment.  It is unknown what was stolen.

ASSAULT WITH A HANDGUN:  A person pointed a handgun at a victim and threatened to shoot the victim in the 15800 block of 9th Ave NE.

GRAFFITI:  Several incidences of tagging happened around a park and at Shoreline Center. Some of the tagging was gang-related.

May 4

MORE IPADS STOLEN at SHOREWOOD HIGH SCHOOL:  Suspect(s) took an iPad from a locked classroom over the weekend.  Later, it was discovered that there were two more iPads taken.  This totals three stolen iPads reported on 5/4/12.

LARCENY AT SHORELINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE:  A student left her shoulder bag laying on a table while studying.  She walked away from her belongings to use a computer.  When she returned someone had taken her wallet.

FORGED CHECKS:  A victim in the 18500 block of Springdale Court reported that someone used the victim’s address to commit fraud.

FIREARMS, COMPUTERS AND JEWELRY STOLEN:  A victim in the 20100 block of 23rd Ave NE reported that someone forced a rear glass door in the rear basement to steal firearms, computers and jewelry.

FRAUD:  Someone made fraudulent purchases at the Verizon Wireless store in Aurora Village Shopping Center, Shoreline.

$64.98 VALUED FLASHLIGHT STOLEN FROM SEARS:  A person concealed a flashlight into a jacket, went into a restroom, unpacked the flashlight and left Sears without paying.

ASSAULT AT SUPER CHINA BUFFET:  A victim told police that someone punched the victim while pulling his or her hair.  The victim says a disabled adult male at 15323 Westminster Way North was the suspect.

LARCENY AT REC. CENTER GYM in RICHMOND HIGHLANDS:  Someone stole a wallet and cell phone from a rolled up pair of pants at 16554 Fremont Ave North.

STOLEN PURSE:  A purse was taken from the Fed-Ex Office Print and Ship Center at 1145 N 205th Street.

LARCENY AT TOP FOODS:  A person stole food from Top Foods at 17501 Midvale Ave N.  The person was arrested and booked for shoplifting.

May 5

SUICIDE ATTEMPT:  A teenager in the 1800 block of N 147th Street took medication in an attempt to harm herself.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AT LINDEN II APARTMENTS:  A physical altercation happened between a man and his wife in the 14500 block of Stone Ave N.

VEHICLE PROWL:  Someone broke a rear driver’s side window and stole items valued over $250.

BURGLARY AT SHORECREST HIGH SCHOOL:  On the south side of Shorecrest High School there is a building in progress of construction.  Someone entered the construction site and cut a latch on the job box and took items.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE:  A man and wife rent an upstairs part of a home in the 14700 block of 23rd Ave NE.  A male individual and girlfriend rent the downstairs part of the house.  The upstairs tenants told the police that they could hear the man arguing and beating the woman downstairs.

NEW WASHING MACHINE STOLEN:  A man in the 17400 block of 10th Ave NE reported to police that he sold an older washer to two white men earlier in the day.  While the men were at the residence, the homeowner showed them a newer Whirlpool washer.  Later, the two men came back, opened an unlocked gate and took the newer washer.

LARCENY:  A person reported that their vehicle was broken into in the 2000 block of Fremont Ave N.  The suspect broke into the driver’s side rear window while the car was parked in the driveway.

VANDALISM: Someone threw a rock into the front window of a house in the 17900 block of Fremont Ave N.

FRAUD:  A man in the 700 block of N 188th Street told police that a suspect used his debit card to make fraudulent transactions.  The man says he has never been without his card and has no idea how his information was stolen.  This is an on-going investigation and The Whidbey Island Bank is assisting with the investigation.

BURGLARY:  A suspect forced the front door open in the 1600 block of N 176th Street and stole a digital camera from a home.

LARCENY AT FACEBOOK PARTY:  A man had a party at his house in the 2100 block of N 167the Street.  He listed the party details on the social media site, Facebook and hundreds of people showed up.  The police responded twice to the house.  The first time to investigate a fight and the second time, the police found that someone had entered the bedroom from the basement and took items from the victim’s bedroom.
