Shoreline Police Blotter: Customer Attempts to Sell Marijuana to Carter Subaru Staff

The following blotter items range from April 5, 2012 - April 11, 2012. Information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

April 5

SEX OFFENDER REGISTERS:  A level two-sex offender in the 16000 block of Midvale Ave North registered an address change.  The man was convicted of child rape.  An officer is assigned to monitor this offender and assist in community notification.

SUSPICIOUS CIRUMSTANCES:  A person showed up at Shoreline City Hall and police were called when city employees reported suspicious activity.

April 7

DUI:  A person nearby North 175th Street and Wallingford Ave was stopped due to speeding (56 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone) and eventually arrested for driving drunk.

April 8

MORE DUI:  A person was arrested nearby the North City Tavern (17554-15th Ave NE) for driving drunk.  This person refused the breath test and was swiftly booked into Snohomish County Jail.

April 9

CRIMINAL WARRANT AND MISDEMEANOR:  A man was extremely high on drugs nearby the 20300 block of Ballinger Way NE.  He was attempting to break into random cars at the Chevron Gas Station.

INCIDENT AT CARTER SUBARU:  A service manager at Carter Subaru, 17225 Aurora Ave N, told police that a customer offered to sell a parking valet person some marijuana from the customer’s backpack.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT:  A man went to visit a woman in the 1000 block of 179th Pl NW.  Upon arrival he found his friend slumped over in her car inside a closed garage with the car engine running. 

BURGLARY SUSPECT FLEES FROM CONIFIR CREST APARTMENTS:  A black man forced open a front door of an apartment in the 15000 block of NE 177th Street.  When confronted by the resident, the suspect fled on foot west bound.

VANDALISM AT HERZL CEMETERY:  A man at 16559 Dayton Ave N told police that his Bobcat excavator was vandalized on cemetery grounds. 

THREATS BY PHONE:  A woman in the 17000 block of 5th Ave NE stated that someone attempted to scam her by phone by forcing her to give out her personal information and also threatened her.

VICTIM REPORTS STOLEN CAR:  A person in the 14700 block of 20th Ave NE suspects that their son stole a car from them. 

PARENT REPORTS MISSING JUVENILE:  An unmarried person in the 18800 block of 15th Ave NE reported that their son or daughter left the house for school and did not return home.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION:  A woman at the Rodeway Inn, 14817 Aurora Ave N was arrested for possession of heroin, cocaine and other outstanding warrants.

April 10

LARCENY:  A person stole items from Safeway at 17200 block of 15th Ave NE after assaulting the loss prevention officer on duty.  Soon after, the shoplifter dropped all the stolen items outside in the parking lot.

April 11

MORE LARCENY RELATED TO ARSON OF VEHICLES:  A vehicle prowl happened at the 14500 block of 20th Ave NE.  Police believe that this prowl at a single family home is related to arson of other cars nearby.
