LFP Police Blotter: Burglaries, Peddlers and More

The following blotter items range from June 4, 2012 – June 10, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

JUNE 4

TRAFFIC STOP:  A woman was driving a car and talking on her cell phone when she was pulled over nearby the 17100 block of Bothell Way NE close to 8 a.m.

CIVIL DISPUTE BETWEEN SOON TO BE EX-HUSBAND AND SOON TO BE EX-WIFE:  A woman in the 19000 block of 40th Pl N.E. came to the police station to ask why her husband (future ex-husband) was still inside her residence even after being served protection/restraining order paperwork.  The police went to the home with the woman (future ex-wife) to find out the man was not instructed to leave the house.  The police provided a civil standby and the husband left the residence.  The husband now understands he is not welcome at the home.  The husband was told by police to surrender all his firearms.  The husband claims the firearms are in a storage unit.

DUI or TEXTING?:  A driver nearby the 19000 block of Ballinger Way NE was driving a white Astro van with tinted windows when the van went swerving into the sidewalk.  Unknown as to which direction the car went.

THEFT:  A woman in the 4400 block of NE 185th Street said that her debit card was stolen and she knows the thief.  She has unauthorized charges to her bank account.  The woman has surveillance tape footage.  She told police that her vehicle was parked in the driveway when she left her debit card inside.  The bank was contacted about the stolen debit card.

JUNE 6

BURGLARY:  A burglary happened in the 19200 block of 25th Ave NE. We have no further information to report as the police department blanked the documents out.

ONE IN CUSTODY:  Police were advised by records that a petitioner advised the PD that the suspect possesses weapons, is a suspected drug abuser and per additional info from the order, has made threats to harm or kill himself.  Warrant was still good. The suspect was taken into custody.

SOLICITORS:  Two men were stopped by police nearby the 4600 block of NE 178th Place. They were selling something door to door. They were given a verbal warning. 

PEDDLER: A man in the 15500 block of Lakeshore Blvd NE called police about a black man, roughly 22-25 years of age with a bright green sweatshirt that zip ups in the front saying “Brazil.”  The homeowner said that when he did not answer the front door, the man in the Brazil sweatshirt went to the back of the house.  The man gave police a false name and false SSN on contact.  He denied having a picture ID.  The man was arrested for providing false information. He was found to have a felony warrant out of Pennsylvania and was booked into Snohomish County Jail for the local charge.  He admitted to a classic magazine sales setup.

JUNE 7

THEFT:  Happened at 4200 block of NE 169th Court.  All information was whited out in the reports; there was no additional narrative to read.

BURGLARY:  A woman reported that someone(s) forced their way into her home in the 17800 block of 40th Ave NE.  The homeowner was gone all day, she has two kids.  It was unclear what was taken.

BURGLARY: A woman in the 19200 block of 25th Ave NE reported that her front and back doors were open.  It was unclear what was taken.

PROWLER:  A woman in the 16500 block of 37th Ave NE said that a man with mustache with a stocking over his face was prowling her home.  Her daughter was coming from Seattle to be with her. 

JUNE 8

THEFT:  A man in the 4000 block of NE 205th Street says that someone stole his Tom Tom GPS from his unlocked vehicle.

JUNE 10

DISTURBANCE AT FAMILY ADULT HOME:  A physical altercation happened in the 15500 block of 33rd Ave NE.  Someone hit someone else but the victim did not want to press charges and did not want aid or to identify his/her self.
