Shoreline Police Blotter: BMW Driver Flees, Leaving Behind Cash, Drugs and a Pistol

The following blotter items range from May 9, 2012 - May 13, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

May 9

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:  Some people had a verbal argument that turned bad in the 900 block of N 196th Street.  In addition to the verbal argument there were things broken in the house and car.

VANDALISM AT HIGHLINE ICE ARENA:  Someone smashed a window and left before they were seen.  This happened at 18005 Aurora Ave N.

LARCENY AT CAFFE APPASSIONATO:  Someone stole cash (greater than $250) from the store till overnight from a store safe at 15505 Westminster.  The Caffe Appassionato office is located upstairs above Central Market. 

DEATH INVESTIGATION at FRED MEYER:  Someone collapsed outside the Fred Meyer at 18325 Aurora Ave North.  The person is given CPR but that failed to revive the person.  The police believe that it was a natural death at the entry of Fred Meyer.

May 10

LARCENY AT SHORECREST HIGH SCHOOL:  A young man who attends Shorecrest High School parked his car nearby NE 153rd and 25th Ave NE.  Someone smashed the window of the car and stole items from the car.  The suspect fled east on 153rd.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES:  A cleaning person found a human skull in the attic in the 1600 block of NE 185th Street.  The other bones are assumed to be human bones also.

May 11

AGGRESSIVE PAN HANDLER AT RITE AID STORE:  A person was panhandling at the Rite Aid at 655 NW Richmond Beach Rd. Police were called when the panhandler was aggressive, scared older customers and bothered the rest of the customers.  The subject was asked to leave many times before but ends up hiding nearby and reappearing when the police leave.

BURGLARY:  Someone forced their way into a home by entering through a sliding glass door and stole items from the house.  The unoccupied home is in the 1600 block of N 180th Street.

HUSBAND ASSAULTS WIFE:  A man in the 100 block of NE 156th Street hit his wife and pushed her to the floor.  He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

BMW DRIVER WITH CASH, POSSIBLY HEROIN DOES A HIT AND RUN:  A person driving a BMW in the 18000 block of Meridian Ave N slammed into parked cars and caused a chain reaction.  The BMW driver fled on foot.  The driver dropped cash and a bag with possible heroin. The police found a pistol in the car and had the BMW was impounded and was awaiting a search warrant.

BURGLARY BY LADDER:  A suspect climbed a ladder to gain access of a north side window of a home in the 16700 block of Wallingford Ave.  The suspect stole a TV, computer; gift cards and possibly a handgun were stolen. 

SUSPECTS ROB AND ASSAULT PEDESTRIAN:  Suspects who attended a house party, jumped on a victim and stole a victim’s wallet.  The victim was transported to the hospital due to his injuries. This happened in the 14700 block of 31st Ave NE.

May 12

DRUNKEN MAN REFUSES TO LEAVE CLUB HOLLYWOOD:  A drunken man would not leave a casino in the 16700 block of Aurora Ave North.  He was fined for trespassing by the police.

ROBBERY:  A man was walking nearby the intersection of N 188th Street and Linden Ave North when he was jumped from behind for his wallet. 

BURGLARY FROM CONSTRUCTION SITE AT SHORECREST HIGH SCHOOL:  The police believe that someone scaled a fence and stole power and extension cords from the onsite construction.

HOMEMADE BOMB EXPLODES AT SHOREVIEW PARK:  Someone made an explosive device made of hydrochloric acid, tin foil and a two liter bottle.  The explosive device was set off on the playfield at Shoreview Park.

HUSBAND ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT AFTER ARGUMENT:  A man grabbed his wife by her arms and threw her to the ground.  The wife hit her head on the ground and the husband was taken away in handcuffs for fourth degree assault. This incident happened in the 300 block of NW Richmond Beach Rd.

May 13

BURGLARY AT KING’S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:  Someone forced open a door at 19531 Dayton Ave North and stole money.
