Shoreline Police Blotter: "Blasted 87" Spray Painted on Facade of Church
The following blotter items from Oct. 17- Oct. 23 and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.
OCT 17
WARRANTS: A woman who was loitering near the Rodeway Inn on Aurora Ave. N. was arrested and booked with an outstanding warrant for prostitution.
DEATH: A man committed suicide with a .22 pistol in the back yard of his home.

AUTO THEFT: A 1996 Subaru Legacy was stolen from the Aurora Village Transit Center.

LARCENY: A rock was used to break into a car at Shorewood High School.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: A man was arrested at the Ryu Plaza on Aurora Ave. N. for heroin possession.
BURGLARY: A home, in the 20300 block of 8th Ave. N.W., was broken into. Laptops, watches and Louis Vuitton bags were stolen.
OCT 19
MENTAL COMPLAINTS: An intoxicated and possibly mentally ill woman claimed that Miami gangsters had mugged her and that they had harassed her previously.
STOLEN PROPERTY: The owner of a gun shop in the 15800 block of 26th Ave. N.E. reported a gun missing after several customers were in his shop.
MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A possibly mentally ill man told the police that his sister was trying to kill him.
OCT 20
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect climbed onto the balcony of an apartment, in the 900 block of N. 163rd St., entered into the apartment and stole a computer.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: A suspicious man was handing out Halloween flyers to young girls at Parkwood Elementary after being told that he was not allowed to post flyers at the school.
ASSAULT: An intoxicated woman assaulted her husband, by kicking and punching him, in their home in front of their children.
OCT 21
THEFT: An aluminum trailer was stolen from the roadway in front of a home in the 1900 block of N. 198th St.
VANDALISM: “Blasted 87” was spray painted on the façade of First Lutheran Church.
VANDALISM: The tires of a city vehicle were slashed in the 16000 block of 15th Ave. N.E.
OCT 22
WEAPONS: A man sleeping at the Aurora Transit Center was arrested for two misdemeanor warrants and possession of a butterfly knife.
TRESPASS: An extremely intoxicated man was loitering in front of a Starbucks and harassing patrons.
ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT: Two men were caught using a hanger to break into a car. One of the men was in possession of an illegal weapon and needles. The other had recent arrests for theft and burglary.

OVERDOSE: Someone was found overdosed in a room at the Days Inn on Aurora Ave. N.
