Shoreline Police Blotter August 6-13

The following blotter items and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

August 6

VANDALISM: Someone vandalized a Snohomish County Swift bus at the Shoreline Transit Center.

IDENTITY THEFT: Someone stole a man’s wallet from Safeway on 15th Avenue NE and accessed his bank account. Police reportedly received a confession from the suspect after giving the wallet back.

August 7

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Someone broke out the windows to a car at Twin Ponds Park and stole items from inside the vehicle. A similar incident occurred at Shoreline Stadium.

 BURGLARY: A burglary occurred on the 19500 block of 15th Avenue NW.

August 8

BURGLARY: Someone cut a fence at a Shoreline School District property at 2003 NE 160th St., broke into a warehouse and stole items.

BIKE THEFT: Someone stole a bike from Cromwell Park.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A woman reportedly threw most of her belongings out the window of her Echo Lake apartment and onto the sidewalk.

Burglary: A burglary occurred on the 900 block of N 175th Street.

August 9

ROBBERY: Someone assaulted a man on the 1600 block of Aurora Avenue N and stole several items.

PERSON WITH A WEAPON: Police responded to a report of someone wielding a knife in the 24-Hour Fitness parking lot.

AUTO THEFT: A woman reported that her vehicle had been stolen from the 15800 block of 26th Avenue NE.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into storage lockers at the Linden Grove apartments on the 16100 block of Linden Avenue N.

August 10

AUTO THEFT: Someone stole a Gray 1994 Honda Accord from the driveway of a house on the 16700 block of Linden Avenue N.

MAIL THEFT: Someone stole incoming mail from a mailbox on the 200 block of NW 203rd Street. The mail included a cash advance check that the suspect reportedly deposited into a BECU account.

SHOOTING: Police a suicidal man who had a knife and shotgun at his residence on the 700 block of 200th Avenue.

FOUND BONES: Residence reported finding bones under the foundation of a house. They were later identified as animal bones.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into a home through a bedroom window and stole video games.

UNDERAGED DRINKING: Police cited reportedly intoxicated juveniles at a vacant house on the 1500 block of NE 175th Street.

August 11

DRUGS: Two people were arrested on suspicion of possessing and smoking methamphetamine on the 19300 block of 10th Avenue NE.

STEALING FROM VEHICLE: Someone broke into a car on the 15700 block of 1st Avenue NW and stole items.

MAIL THEFT: Someone stole from a mailbox on the 18200 block of Linden Avenue N.

DRUGS: Top Foods employees detained someone for shoplifting. When police arrived, they discovered an outstanding warrant for heroin possession. Upon searching the subject, police found a plastic bag labeled “CRACK.”

 August 12

ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT: A woman on the 1700 block of 10th Avenue NW saw a man trying to steal her son’s 2008 Ford Explorer when her dogs started barking loudly.

VANDALISM: Two mailboxes were smashed on the 16500 block of Fremont Avenue N.

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone broke into a car on the 17700 block of 13th Avenue NW an rifled through the contents.

KIDNAPPING: The owner of a residence on the 17500 block of 19th Court NE reportedly locked a tenant in a room.

FORGERY: Someone tried to pass a fake $100 bill at a Wells Fargo on Richmond Beach Drive.

August 13

ASSAULT: Someone went into an apartment and hit a man in the head. Police speculate that it had to do with a love triangle.
