Shoreline Police Blotter: Aug. 20-26

The following blotter items and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 20

VANDALISM: Someone smashed the windows of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 17300 block of Evanston Ave. N. 

THEFT: A white man about 25 years old reportedly took cigarettes without paying for them from Rite Aid in the 6500 block of N.W. Richmond Beach Road.

Aug. 21

DUI: Someone was driving without headlights, speeding and driving down the middle of the roadway near N.E. 195th St. and 15th Ave. N.E. The driver was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was impounded. The driver's blood alcohol readings were .190 and .210.

Aug. 22

ASSAULT: A woman assaulted her live-in boyfriend at Ballinger Homes in the 20000 block of 20th Place N.E. The couple had been dating for the past five years. 

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A woman got lost in Shoreline near the 19100 block of Aurora Ave. N. and couldn't find her way back to Brush Prairie, Wash.

THEFT: Someone took golf clubs and a golf bag out of a trunk of a car in the 20000 block of Meridian Ave. N. and replaced it with a black bag with jumper cables and tools. 

THEFT: Someone left their vehicle unlocked in the 20000 block of Meridian Ave. N. and someone stole a GPS out of it. 

THEFT: Someone stole a cell phone from the guest parking lot at Shoreline Community College.

Aug. 23

THEFT: Someone was caught trying to steal picture hangers, pliers and a nail puller from Sears by putting them in their jacket and pants pocket. 

BURGLARY: In the 18200 block of 10th Ave. N.E., a woman left the sliding glass door in the back of her home open and someone entered the home and stole items.

Aug. 24

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A woman at Aegis House in the 14900 block of 1st Ave. N.E. who is suffering from dementia assaulted those around her and damaged a paper boy's car.

THEFT: Between May and June, dozens of Snap-On Tool sockets and other hand tools were stolen from the automotive shop at Shoreline Community College. 

THEFT: Someone broke the passenger side rear window of a vehicle parked in the Shoreline Library parking lot and stole items.

VANDALISM: Suspects threw rocks at vehicles in the 15700 block of Aurora Ave. N. and hit one.

SHOPLIFTING: Someone was caught shoplifting at Top Foods in the 1200 block of N. 175th St.

STABBING: A suspect who said he felt threatened by the victim stabbed the victim while inside the suspect's apartment in the 1400 block of N.W Richmond Beach Road. 

Aug. 25

TRESPASS: Two homeless men caused a disturbance at 7-Eleven in the 16500 block of 5th Ave. N.E. over wanting free food.

MAIL THEFT: Someone took mail from an unlocked front door of a mailbox in the 500 block of N. 167th St. 

VANDALISM: Three unknown teenage female suspects were believed to have thrown a rock at a window at Java Jolt on 10th Ave. N.E. 

BURGLARY: Someone entered an unlocked window in the 1100 block of N. 180th St. at Shorewood Court and stoled cash, two computers and a camera. 

Aug. 26

THEFT: Someone stole a duffel bag, men's boots at Fred Meyer to sell for heroin. 

SMASH AND GRAB: Someone broke a vehicle window and stole a bag at Hamlin Park.
