The following blotter items were selected from Shoreline Police reports from April 9-17, 2011.

April 9

 AUTO THEFT: A lended vehicle was stolen from the 1100 block of North 180th St.

 BURGLARY: A vehicle parked in the fenced Advance Auto Sales lot, 16200 Aurora Ave. N., was broken into and speakers and a stereo were stolen.

 April 10

 LIQUOR, TOBACCO VIOLATIONS: Police received a call about a fight in progress and arrived to a home in the 100 block of N. 177th St. to find a juvenile party.  A suspect was arrested for minor in possession, obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest.

 NEGLIGENT DRIVING: A driver under the influence of intoxicants drove down a closed road and crashed his car into a construction area in the 1100 block of N. 175th St.

 DRUG OVERDOSE: A resident of the Roadway Inn, 14817 Aurora Ave. N. was found having a heroin overdose.

 SUSPICOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: A man in the 1500 block of N.E. Perkins Way claimed his downstairs neighbors were tapping his Internet and mobile phone.

 April 11

 BURGLARY: Someone pried a downstairs door open and went through bedrooms and a closet and took items, mostly computer items from a home in the 15700 block of Stone Ave. N. while the owner was away in China since December 2010.

 LARCENY, MORE THAN $250:  A male person placed a backpack with a computer inside in a locker in the men’s locker room at the Dale Turner YMCA but did not lock it. When he returned from playing volleyball he discovered the computer was gone.

 ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Someone tried to force his way into a home in the 16000 block of 28th Ave. N.E.  with a pry tool and shattered a window. A blood swab was taken for DNA evidence.

 VEHICLE PROWL: Someone entered a parking garage at the Rosemont Apartments, in the 20000 block of Whitman Ave. N. and took alcohol from the victim’s vehicle.

 April 12

 ASSAULT: A roommate struck another roommate in the head with a frying pan and knocked him unconscious in the 100 block of N.E. 174th St.

 BURGLARY: Someone cut the padlock on a storage unit at People’s Storage, 14900 Aurora Ave. N. and took items and the padlock.

 THREATS: A King’s High School teacher received a “death threat” via e-mail. It was determined to be a long-running spam e-mail.

 VANDALISM: Someone smashed the front passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 17500 block of Linden Ave. N.

 ROBBERY: Someone robbed the Aurora Village Market, 20003 Aurora Ave. N., and ran away.

 April 13

 LARCENY, MORE THAN $250: A man noticed that the night before someone broke the passenger side window and stole items while it was parked at Seattle Ski and Snowboard, 14915 Aurora Ave. N.

 NUISANCE PHONE CALLS: A man called police to report that he received calls from people claiming to be police officers saying they were with the “Department of Investigation” and that he is the suspect in a fraud case.

 April 14

 VEHICLE PROWL/LARCENY, LESS THAN $250: Someone went through the victim’s unlocked vehicle in the 2100 block of  N. 159th St. and took items. Later a neighbor found the victim’s wallet in his yard while discovering his vehicle had been prowled as well.

 BURGLARY: Someone broke into Gin Go Gae Restaurant, 920 N. 160th St. Suite B, by prying the rear door open.

 FRAUD: Someone went into the state liquor store at 15230 Aurora Ave. N. and tried to purchase four very expensive bottles of alcohol using a gift card and Visa debit card. Employees had been made aware of suspects trying to use fake gift cards in liquor stores.

 LARCENY, MORE THAN $250: Someone took a Hewlett-Packard laptop from an unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of N. 178th St. The laptop belonged to Custom Ocular Prosethetics.

 LARCENY, MORE THAN $250: Someone took a victim’s bag with check inside as she was getting off the bus at the Shoreline Park & Ride at 18821 Aurora Ave. N.

 April 15

 MARIJUANA: Students at Kellogg Middle School were found to be in possession of marijuana.

 BURGLARY: Someone entered a home in the 1300 block of N. 192nd St. by cutting a screen in an upstairs master bedroom window.

 NUISANCE PHONE CALLS: Someone in the 17800 block of 3rd Ave. N.E. reported his or her daughter’s ex-boyfriend made numerous phone calls  in last few days and was becoming a nuisance.

 April 16

VANDALISM: Someone spray-painted a house in the 20000 block of 21st Place N. with black and royal blue spray paint.

VANDALISM: A person building a home in the 21000 block of N.W. 201st St. found someone had used water color markers to write various crude sayings on signs and windows of the home.

ASSAULT: Two women got into a verbal and physical fight at Ricky’s Bar & Grll 600 N.W. Richmond Beach Road.

FRAUD: Someone used a counterfeit $100 bill at the bar of Peking House Restaurant, 17505 15th Ave. N.E.

April 17

ASSAULT: Someone grabbed a victim by the neck and a pushing and shoving match ensued at the Heatherstone Apartments in the 19000 block of 19th Ave. N.E.

MAIL THEFT:  Someone opened mail that had checks inside and stole them from a mailbox in the 17400 block of 17th Place N.E.

LARCENY, LESS THAN $250: A man’s wallet was stolen from his car parked at the Meadowbrook Apartments in the 1400 block of N.W. Richmond Beach Road.
