Shoreline Block Watches Report 16 Residential Burglaries in October

Residential burglaries down from Sept. 2012 and from same month the previous year

Shoreline Block Watches reported a decrease in residential burglaries in October 2012 compared to Sept. 2012, as well as a decrease from the previous year, Oct. 2011.

Shoreline Block Watches reported 16 residential burglaries, 12 forced entry burglaries and four non-forced entry burglaries last month. Block Watches also reported one attempted burglary in Shoreline.

By contrast, 29 residential burglaries were reported in September, 21 forced entry and eight non-forced entry. 

Last year, in the same month, Oct. 2011, 23 burglaries were reported including 14 forced entry burglaries and nine non-forced entry burglaries.

•18000 block of 9th Ave. N.E., between 10 and 10:15 p.m., window broken

Oct. 9

•15900 block of 1st Ave. N.W., between 9:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., door glass broken.

Oct. 11

•18300 block of Wallingford Ave. N., between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m., door kicked in.

Oct. 15-16

•14500 block of 5th Ave. N.E., between 6:45 p.m. and 2 p.m., two vinyl locks broken.

Oct. 17

•15000 Westminster Way N., between 10:10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., used pry tool to door.

•700 block of N. 148th St., between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., housing on plastic window broken.

Oct. 18

•19800 block of Bagley Dr., between 8:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., lock pried open on sliding glass door.

Oct. 24

•18000 block of 7th Ave. N.E., at 12:04 p.m., dog door kicked in, entrance made

Oct. 25

•20300 block of Meridian Ave. N., between 8 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., double doors pried open.

Oct. 27

•1100 block of N. 180th St., between 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., window forced off track.

Oct. 31

•16100 block of Densmore Ave. N., between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., door kicked in.

•15400 block of Meridian Ave. N., between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., glass slider forced in.

•14900 block 5th Ave. N.E., 7:45 a.m. and 4:50 p.m., unsecured window.

Oct. 6

•18900 block of 10th Place N.W., between 12:01 a.m. and 4:06 a.m., unsecured garage door.

Oct. 9

•15800 block of 12th Ave. N.E., between 6:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., ladder used to reach unsecured window.

Oct. 18

•20100 block of Bagley Dr. N., between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., duplicate key possibly used
