Seven Injured in 13-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 90

The Washington State Department of Transportation and the Bellevue Fire Department report that a nine car crash is blocking westbound Interstate 90. The crash involves a logging truck, the fire department reports.

A crash involving 13 vehicles, including a logging truck and a semi truck, is blocking most of the lanes of Interstate 90, according to the Washington State Patrol and the Bellevue Fire Deparrtment.

The crash was reported around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, officials reported.

At least one person is reported with critical injuries, and seven people in total were taken to Harborview Medical Center or Overlake Hospital Medical Center, according to the Bellevue Fire Department.

The crash has caused long backups as long as six miles nearly an hour after the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol. Officials are advising drivers to avoid westbound Interstate 90 and to listen to the radio traffic reports to avoid the area. The Washington State Department of Transportation reported that traffic was limited to the left general purpose lane and HOV lane, which was opened to all vehicles.
