Robbery Victim Slashed with Exacto Style Knife

The following blotter items range from November 2, 2012 – November 4, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

 

On Saturday, November 3rd at approximately 6:00p.m. a woman left her apartment in the 15100 block of Stone Lane North in Shoreline.  She was walking towards Safeway.  She was walking on the sidewalk and was close to a clump of trees where the old 24 Hour Fitness used to be when a suspect grabbed her.  The suspect slashed the woman with an Exacto type knife and took her money.

CRIMINAL WARRANT, FELONY:  A man was found sleeping in a motor vehicle in the parking lot of Fred Meyer at 18325 Aurora Ave North.  On further investigation, the man was found to have an outstanding felony warrant.  He was booked into King County Jail.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES:  A car was parked in an apartment complex (Linden Grove Apts, 16100 Linden Ave North) while a suspect used a screwdriver to steal the rear license plates.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Shoreline Police listed this as a non-forced entry burglary because the suspect simply opened a back door to gain entry to the private home in the 16500 block of 22nd Ave NE.  A suspect did search the master bedroom but the people who live at the aforementioned address said that “possibly nothing was taken.”

FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT:  A son punched his father in the face and was booked into the youth jail.  This happened in the 700 block of N 200th Street.

ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY:  A window was opened in the 16500 block of 22nd Ave NE in an attempt to burglarize the home.

MORE ASSAULT:  A victim was punched in the face in the 14500 block of 3rd Ave NE.  The domestic violence incident happened close to 11:30pm.  The victim declined to make a statement.

November 3

LIQUOR/TOBACCO VIOLATIONS:  The police were sent out to the campus of Shoreline Community College.  There was a person who had been drinking at a bus stop at 16101 Greenwood Ave North.

JUVENILE RUNAWAY:  A girl was reported as a runaway from the 1400 block of NE 154th Street.

LARCENY:  A person stole an item worth more than $250.  This incident happened at Hamlin Park, 16006 – 15th Ave NE.

LARCENY AT KINDRED NURSING HOME:  A victim parked and locked his car in the parking lot facing Aurora Avenue.  When he came out of work he found his car window damaged and his six packs of cigarettes were gone.  This report was taken from 16357 Aurora Ave North.

FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT:  A domestic violence situation occurred in the 20000 block of 21st Place NE.   The assault happened when a suspect grabbed a victim with his/her hands.

LARCENY:  A person who is the owner of a home in the 300 block of NE 170th Street was gone from the house for six weeks.  The person had some items stolen from the home.  During the six weeks the owner was gone, some renters were evicted while one other person was allowed to stay in the house.  Somebody took something.  No further information was available.

VANDALISM at WHITMAN PLACE APARTMENTS:  Unknown suspect(s) broke a car window of a car that was parked in the 14500 block of Whitman Ave North.

November 4

LIQUOR/TOBACCO VIOLATIONS:  A fight broke out in the 2300 block of N 158th Street.  One person who was causing a disturbance was taken into jail as a minor in possession.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE:  A person wrote on a car window with lipstick at The Drift On Inn Casino, 16708 Aurora Ave North.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS NEARBY SHOREWOOD COURT APARTMENTS:  A person was laying in the street nearby 1118 N 180th Street.  This person was screaming for help and subsequently asked police to shoot him.  The man was taken to Swedish Hospital for an involuntary commitment after he was found to be a danger to himself and others.

VANDALISM:  A pumpkin was used to smash a mailbox in the 18800 block of Ashworth Ave North.

LARCENY:  A suspect used a tool to open the door of a car parked at Whitman Plaza Apartments in the 14800 block of Whitman Ave North.  There was a list of items taken, however, the report does not allow us to read the list.

JUVENILE RUNAWAY:  A victim who lived in the 1400 block of NW Richmond Beach Road fled to her boyfriend’s home after she fought with her aunts. 

LARCENY:  A purse was stolen from the Starbucks at 20132 Ballinger Way.

LARCENY at WHITMAN PLACE APARTMENTS:  A victim in the 14500 block of Whitman Ave North discovered items were missing from his/her unlocked motor vehicle.  It is not clear what was taken.
