Robbery Prompts Brief Lockdown at Shoreline CC

A residential robbery was reported near the campus Thursday.

Shoreline Community College went into a brief lockdown on campus Thursday afternoon due to a nearby robbery.

A residence was robbed in the 16000 block of Greenwood Ave. N., according to a Shoreline Police spokeswoman. The robbery didn’t appear random and is under investigation.

Shoreline Police didn’t advise the school to go into lockdown, the police spokeswoman said, as the robbery suspects were already out of the area.

The school posted its lockdown notice around 12:30 p.m. “due to police activity on Innis Arden Way near the College,” according to its Facebook page. It was lifted about an hour later for most of the campus.
