Road Rage and Fraud Cases: LFP Police Blotter

The following information is selected from Lake Forest Park Police reports for April 1-9. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 1

  • Someone reported that more than $900 was withdrawn from their savings account at an ATM at Thrashers Corner.

Tuesday, April 2

  • Road Rage: A driver got out of his car and tried to punch through another car’s window when the car pulled into McDonalds. The car had cut off and flipped off the reporting party. The driver’s side door was kicked in, too, but the suspect could not be located.

  • Pit-bull Attack: A woman reported that her dog was attacked by an aggressive dog, and when she followed it home and confronted the neighbors they told her off. Police gave the neighbors an aggressive dog warning, and reported that they were apologetic and shocked that their dog did that. The other dog was uninjured.

Monday, April 8

  • Fraud: A woman discovered that someone had cashed checks in her name fraudulently.
  • Dog cries wolf: A Lake Forest Park home’s alarm system kept going off because a dog was loose inside the house.
  • A Lake Forest Park woman received a credit card she didn’t apply for, and suspects the card application was stolen from her unsecured mailbox.

  • Unwanted photography: A man was asked by an officer at the Lake Forest Park Police Department what he was doing, when the man was seen taking photos of police cars behind the station. The officer asked the man not to photograph him personally, and that man then videotaped the encounter and posted it on the Internet. The officer’s report indicates that the man had a knife hanging off his shirt in plain view.
