Report: Bail Set at $1 Million in Shoreline Sears Arson
A suspect was arrested Monday, The Seattle Times reports.
A 38-year-old developmentally disabled Shoreline man is accused of setting the fire at the Shoreline Sears earlier this month and causing nearly $2 million in damage, The Seattle Times reports.
Bail was set at $1 million Tuesday for the man, who was arrested at the Shoreline police station Monday, the newspaper reported.
The man is suspected of using cologne as an accelerant to light mattress covers on fire in the home fashions department July 18, the newspaper reported. The store’s sprinkler system kept the fire in check, and no one was injured, but smoke and water damaged the building and merchandise.
