Police Discover Plot to Overdose Grandmother on Painkillers

The following blotter items range from Sept. 5, 2012 – September 8, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

On Sept. 6, Shoreline Police were alerted an incident of elder abuse and discovered a plot to overdose a grandmother on dilaudid in the 1800 block of N.E. 175th St.

September 5

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION: Police stopped a driver in the 20330 block of 15th Ave. N.E. for driving while license suspended and found the front passenger had warrants and likely heroin. A narcotics K-9 search was done on the vehicle and the vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant.

VANDALISM: Overnight, someone egged a house in the 200 block of N.E. 170th St. and spray painted "F**K vs. FLAG" on the front walkway just outside the front door using black spray paint.

CONDOMS SHOPLIFTED: A loss prevention officer at Safeway, 15332 Aurora Ave. N., reported that a suspect entered the store and stole condoms and chapstick.

FRAUD: A person living in the 18500 block of Fremont Ave. N. reported that some used the person's Washington State Employees Credit Union Visa Card while the person was on vacation from Aug. 18 to Sept. 2. on a road trip through Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY: A suspect asked the victim for money outside Walgreen's, 14510 Aurora Ave. N. and the suspect's partner took the victim's cell phone.

DRUG OVERDOSE: A person in the 14700 block of 32nd Ave. N.E. accidentally overdosed on heroin and was brought back from near death with Narcan and was transported to Northwest Hospital.

September 6

BURGLARY: A suspect put a table against the rear bathroom window of a home in the 15300 block of Stone Ave. N. and removed the screen, right side of the window pane and entered. The suspect went through two rooms and stacked property against the front door and left it there.

September 7

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Two suspects burglarized St. Luke's School, 17533 Lukes St. Place N. Security footage and photos were obtained and e-mailed throughout the police department.

INJURED DRIVER HAD PISTOL: A driver in an accident in the 20100 block of Aurora Ave. N. was taken to the hospital. He had a pistol on him.

September 8

VEHICLE PROWL: Sometime overnight, a rented 2012 Nissan Titan pickup truck was prowled and two laptop computers and an iPod were taken. There no was no damage to the vehicle.

PURSE STOLEN: A woman was shopping inside the barbecue section of Home Depot, 1335 N. 205th St., and as she was looking at barbecues someone took her cart and stole her purse.

WHEELS STOLEN: Sometime overnight, someone drove on to the lot at Carter Subaru, 17225 Aurora Ave. N., and stole four alloy wheels and tires from a new black 2013 Subaru Impreza station wagon that was parked for sale. The suspect (s) repalced the wheels with regular metal wheels.

BURGLARY: Someone burglarized a house in the 17800 block of Meridian Ave. N. by forcing open the back door. The theives stole jewelry.
