Mom Suspicious of Text Received by Daughter from Unknown Guy

The following blotter items range from October 9, 2012 – October 10, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

 

On Wallingford Avenue North, a woman reported that her 14-year-old daughter received a text message from an unknown male named “Gavin.” The text said “HUNY TEXT ME BACK I WANNA HAVE SOME FUN SEXY ;-)”.  This suspicious circumstance happened on October 9th.

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER: A woman lied about her car being stolen. She had, in fact, been driving under the influence of alcohol. Her car went off the roadway and caused damage to the property of Kellogg Middle School on the 15800 block of 25th Avenue NE. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

VANDALISM: The men’s bathroom at Cromwell Park, located at 18030 Meridian Avenue North, was sprayed with black paint. A door was painted with the words, “ART IS A BEAUTIFUL THING KIDS,” in capital letters.

LARCENY, VALUE OF MORE THAN $250: A woman had her car window smashed and her purse stolen in the parking lot of Richmond Beach First Lutheran Church, located at 18354 8th Avenue NW. An eyewitness at the church reported that a person had been driving around the parking lot and looking at other vehicles, presumably to attempt to steal valuable items. This person was described by the eyewitness as a white male in his 40s with a slight build, wearing a plaid newsboy cap and a blue jacket.

FOURTH-DEGREE ASSAULT: A person was waiting to meet with his friends at the 17700 block of Linden Avenue North. He was jumped by two white males. He was repeatedly grabbed and punched.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION: A white male was suspected of possessing 1.1 grams of methamphetamine near the front door of the Haggen Foods supermarket at 1201 North 175th Street.

FOURTH-DEGREE ASSAULT: A person reported that he was punched near his residence on the 16700 block of Park Avenue North.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, FORCED ENTRY: The incident occurred at 1st Avenue NW.

VEHICLE PROWLER: A person’s car was rifled through by an intruder who opened an unlocked door on the passenger’s side. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence on NW 200th Street.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, NONFORCED: On the 15800 block of 12th Avenue NE, a private residence was entered by an intruder because the north window was left open. Jewelry was stolen from the home.

OVERDOSE: A drug overdose was reported at the 15700 block of Densmore Avenue North.

AUTO THEFT: A Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot near the Ballinger Commons apartment complex, located on the 19800 block of Sunnyside Drive North. The car was stolen overnight by a thief who had immediate access to an open roadway and was able to maneuver the car out of the parking lot.

LARCENY, VALUE OF UNDER $250: On the 18800 block of Wallingford Avenue North, a prowler – in the middle of the night – opened an unlocked door of a blue 2004 Honda CRV that was parked in the resident’s driveway. The resident woke up the following morning and discovered that the front section of the car had been rummaged through. The car owner’s GPS unit had been stolen.

FOURTH-DEGREE ASSAULT: At Ridgecrest Elementary School, located at 16516 10th Avenue NE, a person was punched in the parking lot.

FRAUD: A counterfeit $20 bill was used to pay for gas by a customer. The incident occurred at the Chevron station located at 15510 Aurora Avenue North.
