The cause of death for Johnathan Wayne DiMaggio, a 17-year-old boy from Snohomish County who died on Oct. 13 in Shoreline, was acute alcohol intoxication, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

DiMaggio and two friends, both 18-year-olds, consumed hard liquor and energy drinks while playing video games, Shoreline Police Sgt. Katie Larson said last month.

The three young men were drinking and playing video games when the victim apparently passed out and was lying face down on the floor, Larson said.
