LFP Police Blotter: Woman Calls 911 but Refuses to Cooperate with Dispatcher

The following blotter items and information from April 1, 2012 through April 8, 2012 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction. Please note missing dates means nothing to report.

April 1

MAN SHOVES WOMAN AT WOODLAND NORTH APARTMENTS:  A woman in the 3600 block of NE 155th St said she saw a black man (possibly a neighbor) hit and shove a blond-haired woman.  The man drove off in a blue, four-door Oldsmobile. The blond woman walked towards Lake City Way and hailed a cab.

CASING THE NEIGHBORHOOD:  A woman in the 18100 block of 33rd Ave NE reported a white male (in his 20’s) with short hair, wearing a black jacket was riding a bicycle up and down the street.  Sometimes the man would stop, study the house and bike onto the driveways.

BURGLARY:  The report shows dispatch sent the police a message close to 5:40pm with regard to incident in the 4600 block of NE 178th Street. The rest of the document about this incident was illegible due to “white out.”  Therefore, we have limited information to share.

April 4

NEIGHBORS AT ODDS:  A man in the 18400 block of 53rd Ave NE told police that his neighbor told him that he “was going to be one sorry mother F--- er” because the neighbor was upset that the man yelled at the neighbor’s wife.  The two men share a driveway and both were upset about the property line and driveway.  The police told all parties that the easement issue is a civil issue. The neighbors were told to be nice to each other and/or use a mediator.

April 6

WOMAN CALLS POLICE FOR HELP BUT IS NOT COOPERATIVE:  A woman in the 17000 block of 26th Ave NE was sleeping when loud engine noises woke her.  She went to investigate and two men yelled at her.  She called 911, rambled on and refused to answer questions from the dispatch center.  The dispatch center says that the woman was agitated that the dispatcher was even asking her questions about the incident. The woman requested the police contact her after investigating the situation.  Dispatch was forced to terminate the call.  The dispatcher had a strong feeling the woman would call back to complain about how the call was handled.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE LEAVES ONE MAN BLEEDING: A woman in the 18500 block of 36th Pl NE reported that two roommates inside a group home had an altercation.  An 82 year-old man was bleeding from his forehead due to a 30 year-old man hitting him.  The younger man was booked for assault 4, domestic violence.

SUSPICIOUS:  A woman in the 3700 block of NE 192nd Street told police that she had been to her home just a few days before.  However, on this day, she arrived to find the locks had been changed.  She says her husband didn’t change the locks but admits that she is several months behind on paying the the mortgage.  Her attorney says that she is not in foreclosure.  The police told her to ask the lender (bank) if they changed the locks.  She replied that she would get a locksmith to gain access.

POSSIBLE VUSCA:  Violation of Uniform Controlled Substances.  A man in the 17300 block of Beach Drive NE spoke to the police about individuals doing drug deals in the park.  The drug enthusiasts left on foot after parking their car.  A K-9 unit was sent out to investigate.

April 7

THEFT:  An employee at a gas station, 16800 Bothell Way NE reported that a white man (5’10” to 6’ feet tall) drove off without paying for gas.  The man drove a 1991 red Nissan Sentra.  The police have the man’s license plate number as well as home address.

April 8

BUSY K-9 UNIT:  A police officer and his faithful dog were sent out to the 17400 block of Ballinger Way NE.  The K- 9 sniffed the interior of a car in accordance to a search warrant. The dog alerted the officer to the center console.  Inside a plastic container was 1.9 grams of GVM also known as Green Vegetable Matter.

GRAFFITTI:  An officer noticed less than artistic scrawling on several surfaces in LFP.  The officer took pictures for evidence and notified LFP Public Works to clean up the mess.  The following are approximate addresses where tagging happened:

  • 6500 Burke Gilman Trail
  • 33rd Ave NE and NE 155th St
  • 37th Ave NE and NE 156th St/NE 157th St
  • 17000 – 26th Ave NE (city sign was defaced)
