LFP Police Blotter: Woman Assaulted in Hoarder House

The following blotter items range from May 14, 2012 – May 20, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

MAY 14

DOMESTIC:  A wife in the 17000 block of Brookside Blvd NE reported to police that her husband shoved her.  There were no weapons involved and this was the first time he shoved her.  The husband was taken into custody.

BURGLARY:  A woman in the 17500 block of Bothell Way NE says she went to the take out her garbage and when she came back, her house keys were missing.  She believes her neighbors are the culprits.

THEFT OF FOOD:  A person at 17171 Bothell Way NE stole $100 of food and fled the store when the grocery manager took notice.

DOMESTIC:  A woman who had trouble speaking English called from the 19200 block of 35th Pl NE.  From what the 911 dispatcher could sort out, the woman said a man hit her.  However, when the dust cleared it was a white female who was taken into custody.

MAY 15

THEFT:  A woman in the 17800 block of 49th Pl NE reported that a suspect stole her ATM card and social security card.  The suspect also applied for other credit cards using the woman’s ID.  The suspect was staying with the woman who filed the case with the police.

THEFT:  A man in the 16000 block of 32nd Ave NE reported that someone stole his U.S. mail last week to include credit cards and checks.  The bank called the man about a fraudulent check that was written against his account.  He told the bank that he did not write the check.  The police gave him a case number to bring to his bank. 

May 16

STOLEN CAR:  A woman in the 14800 block of Bothell Way NE reported that her 2002 Acura was stolen.  She said her boyfriend’s gun was in the vehicle when the car was stolen.

May 17

BURGLARY & STOLEN CAR:  A man and his wife in the 14700 block of 39th Ave NE told police that someone broke into their home and also stole their red es300 Lexus.

May 18

SUICIDE:  Someone took his/her own life in the 16200 block of 38th Ave NE.  No further information was given.

CAR THEFT:  A man came into the police department to report that someone stole his car.  No further information given.

HAZARD:  Someone tossed a handful of hypoallergenic needles on the trail by DePape Architects.  Thirteen disposable syringes were found in the bushes.  The police place the sharp objects in containers and brought the items back to the precinct for safe disposal.

WARRANT:  Police took a man into custody because he had a warrant for arrest due to his domestic violence, 4th degree conviction.

May 19

MAGAZINE SOLICITORS:  A family member whose mother has dementia, lives in the 15000 block of Beach Dr NE.  The family member was concerned that the solicitors came into the mother’s house for no good reason.  This case is the most severe of several reports of unwanted magazine solicitors in LFP.

May 20

DOMESTIC:  A woman in the 3400 block of NE 190th Street said she was assaulted by her ex boyfriend who is also the landlord.  She says that she lives in a hoarder house and the ex boyfriend broke her arm after he tripped and fell over some large shoes a few months ago.  She did not want an officer to come to the house.  She felt she was safe for the night because she had a new lock for her bedroom door.  Later, the ex-boyfriend was taken into custody.

THEFT AT FARMER’S MARKET:  A man who works at The Farmer’s Market reported that someone opened up a lockbox in his van and stole money from the lockbox.

BURGLARY:  A burglary happened in the 3000 block of NE 182nd Street. No further information given.
