LFP Police Blotter: Vial of Amphetamine Compound Found on Ballinger Way

The following blotter items and information from Oct 21 to Oct 30 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

October 21

CAR BREAK-IN: At the 2800 block of NE 177th Place a car’s windshield was broken but there was no more damage to the vehicle.

CAR ACCIDENT: At the 16000 block of 26th AVE NE a vehicle lost control and ran into a pedestrian, a car and finally a house. Aid was on the scene.

BREAK–IN: At the 2900 block of NE 178th ST a woman arrived home to find her house had been robbed. An Apple laptop, iPod and approximately $60 in cash were taken.

ALTERCATION: At the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE a homeless man and a pedestrian were found yelling at each other in the Starbucks bathroom.

TRAFFIC VIOLATION: At the 18000 block of Ballinger Way NE a vehicle was stopped for headlight violation and the driver was a convicted felon.

October 24

THEFT: At the 4000 block of NE 204th ST mail was stolen from a mailbox. The victim just discovered that someone had deposited a check belonging to her.

CHECK FRAUD: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST a woman responded to a Craigslist ad for a study, which paid $300. The victim was re-directed to a website where she was contacted, corresponded and then ultimately sent a check for $2,770 where she had to send a major portion of it back once it was cashed. The victim did as instructed and was notified by the bank that the check was fraudulent.   

October 25

CIVIL ISSUES: At the 1800 block of 35th AVE NE a protection order was to be served against a woman living with two other adults and one child. When the woman found out about the order she got upset and started threatening the other occupants.  There were no injuries.

DOG ATTACKED: At the 1800 block of 40th PL NE a dog was attacked by a raccoon.

October 26

VEHICULAR ACCIDENT: At the intersection of Ballinger Way NE and NE 175th ST two vehicles ran into each other and were blocking the road. There were no injuries.

ROAD RAGE: At the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE a gray Dodge followed another driver to the LFP station. Along the way he drove recklessly, approached her window and yelled at her for cutting him off. 

PARKED ILLEGALLY: At the 17000 block of 37th AVE NE a yellow pickup truck was parked illegally. The reporting person was concerned the vehicle may be stolen.

October 27

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: At the 18000 block of Ballinger Way NE a man was seen stumbling down the road and appeared to be intoxicated.

ALTERCATION: At the 3500 block of NE 182nd ST a man and women were heard arguing. They took the argument outside and got in their cars. The woman followed the man closely and continued arguing.

FOUND DRUGS: At the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE a subject found a glass vial that contained a white powder substance. He turned in the vial to the PD. The powder tested positive for an amphetamine compound.

October 28

LOST BIKE: At the 1800 block of 35th AVE NE a bicycle was found leaning up against a railing unsecured. The bike was abandoned.

SUSPICIOUS SUSPECT: AT the 3600 block of NE 155th ST a male was seen wondering around an apartment complex. He had never been seen before and looked suspicious.

October 29

ALTERCATION: At the 18000 block of 35th AVE NE a divorcing couple were in the process of moving their things from their home. One partner requested a civil standby. While this occurred the other partner angrily confronted the two people.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: At the 3000 block of NE 178th ST a political banner was ripped off and damaged. Graffitti was also covering the fence.  The sign was valued at $150.

CAR BREAK-IN: At the 16000 block of 35th AVE NE a car window was broken but nothing was taken.

October 30

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: At the 16000 block of Bothell Way an intoxicated subject was found. He could barely stand up. He had a gash on his head and was bleeding.
