LFP Police Blotter: Man Says Someone Stole His AK-47

The following blotter items and information from Dec 26, 2011 through January 5, 2012 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

December 26

VEHICLE THEFT:  A woman who lives in the 16700 block of 39th Pl NE called the police while out of state on her vacation. She stated that her car was missing from her residence.  She believes the person who took the car is someone she works with.  She said she will return to LFP to make a full report.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES:  A man in the 18200 block of 47th Pl NE reported a prowler in his backyard.  His three dogs barked like crazy to alert him.  Police found a flashlight in the backyard.  No one was found.

FRAUD:  A person at a gas station in the 18000 block of 28th Ave NE reported that a check that was used to pay a bill was stolen from a mailbox.  The check was changed and used at a Safeway for a larger amount.

December 28

MENTALLY ILL MAN:  A man who is a resident of LFP and lives nearby the 17200 block of Brookside Blvd NE has been disturbing his neighbors by knocking on doors and searching for friends who no longer live in the neighborhood.  This is an on-going situation.

DRUG DEALS?  A person who lives in the 3300 block of NE 178th St reported drug activity in the house behind theirs.  The drug enthusiasts appear to enjoy heroin.

THREATS:  A woman in the 15800 block of 34th Ave NE said she was getting threats from her mother.  The mother was going to have her biker friends kidnap the woman and leave her for dead at a biker bar.  Police advised it is not a threat due to hearsay from a third party.

December 29

THEFT:  A woman in the 3500 block of NE 153rd St had a vehicle broken into.  After smashing the window, someone stole the woman’s bag with her iPod inside. The car was in the garage but the gate was left open or the gate was not working properly.

DRUNK MAN:  A woman in the 19200 block of 40th Pl NE was concerned for her drunk boyfriend because she was afraid the boyfriend would drive under the influence again.  Police went out to speak to the boyfriend who was belligerent and would not listen to reason.  The boyfriend acted aggressively towards the police and announced he would drive drunk again.  Woman was advised to call 911 if situation escalated.

December 30

BURGLARY:  A woman in the 14700 block of Edgewater Lane NE reported that her garage was broken into because it wasn’t shut properly.  A generator and a shelf of tools were taken.

THREATS AT WOODLAND HILLS APTS:  A woman reported that her friend (a female) lives in the apartments.  She is afraid that her friend is receiving threats from a male roommate. 

December 31

BURGLARY:  A woman in the 20100 block of 47th Ave NE reported that her home was broken into.  Her laptop was stolen.

INTOXICATED MAN:  A woman in the 14500 block of Bothell Way NE reported that a drunk man ordered food and left.  He came back yelling at the clerk and demanded his money back.  After receiving money, he threw the taco at the clerk and left.

January 1, 2012

DEAD HOUSEMATE:  A man in the 18500 block of 26th Ave NE reported that his housemate died sometime in the night.  The  92-year-old female had history of heart problems.

January 3

ROAD RAGE:  A man reported an incident that happened nearby Bothell Way NE and Ballinger Way.  Another man pointed his finger and then produced a black and silver, semi automatic pistol similar to a Taurus 9mm or .40 cal.  The reporting man does not know this other person.  The man with the gun threw a can at the man’s car but there was no proof of gun fire.

January 4 

DUI ARREST:  A man was arrested nearby 40th Pl NE and 45th Pl NE for drinking and driving. On site his blood alcohol content was .163. At the police station, he blew a .165.

January 5

STOLEN ASSAULT RIFLE:  A man in the 3600 block of NE 155th St came into the police station to report someone stole his AK-47.

THEFT:  An employee at 17171 Bothell Way submitted a surveillance CD of a shoplifting incident that occurred the day before.  There was a written list of items stolen.
