LFP Police Blotter: Dog Attacks Dog at Apartments on Bothell Way

The following blotter items and information from Nov 21 through Nov 25 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

November 21

DOMESTIC DISPUTE:  A man reported that a female hit and kicked him nearby the 2600 block of NE 185th Street.  Female was heard yelling in the background from downstairs bathroom.  A man came to the door to let police in.

NEIGHBORS AT ODDS:  A woman in the 17000 block of 35th Ave NE reported that her neighbor was planting trees on her property.  She talked to the man but he held his ground, steadfast on putting the tree in place.  Police spoke to woman.  She had installed a fence illegally and it was removed by the city.  Later, woman spoke to man and he moved his tree installation project a bit.

SUSPICIOUS PERSONS:  A man in the 19000 block of 22nd Ave NE called police to describe two men possibly casing homes and mailboxes.  It was apparently a team effort with one man on foot wearing a Hoodie and his accomplice driving an old car, possibly a Ford.  Reporting person spoke about “Hoodie Man” walking up and down the street and getting into and out of the car checking out property up and down the street.

TWO CAR COLLISION, NO INJURY:  Incident happened at the corner of Bothell Way NE and Ballinger Way.  A vehicle stopped abruptly due to Metro bus pulling out from the curbside.  A second vehicle hit the  first vehicle from behind.  The first vehicle was towed away.  The drivers involved exchanged contact information.

November 22

BURGLARY:  A forced entry into a lower door happened in the 16000 block of 36th Ave NE.  The female homeowner called police from the street while her son went to inspect the home.  It was discovered that a sum of electronics were stolen.

ANIMALS: Neighbors heard fighting in the apartment courtyard of the 14800 block of Bothell Way NE.  The neighbors called police after hearing the people fighting who are dog owners, say “I’m gonna kill you.”  One dog owner alleged one aggressive dog killed another dog.  Animal control was contacted but they only come out to the scene if a human being is bitten.  Victim dog was sent to hospital with owner.

November 23

TAXI CUSTOMER UNWILLING TO PAY:  A cab driver in the 2800 block of NE 180th Pl called to report that a young, male customer did not pay for the taxi ride.  Initially, customer owed $40 before running into home.  The meter continued and by the time customer’s father came home the cost peaked to almost $63.  The dad paid for his son’s taxi ride.  Police stayed behind to talk to young man about issues.

MORE DOGGIE MIX-UPS:  A woman in the 5000 block of NE 197th Street complained of an aggressive black dog.  The dog snarled and barked at woman.  She used a broom to fend off the dog.  The owner of the dog moved into rental property recently.  There is a missing fence in the rear of home, where shrubbery currently exists. The dog owner is in process of making the situation better.  The dog owner says dog hasn’t bit anyone.  Police spoke to dog owner about loose dog laws.

November 24

THEFT ON THANKSGIVING DAY:  Someone broke a window and forced their way into a parked car to steal a GPS device in the 19000 block of Forest Park Dr NE.

November 25

LIQUOR’ED SON:  An alcoholic young man started an argument with his mom by cussing her out in the 19800 block of 32nd Ave NE.
