LFP Police Blotter, Aug 8- 14

The following blotter items and information on arrests were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

August 8

NEGLIGENCE: At the 15000 block of Bothell Way NE, a paper man’s vehicle was left running, filled with papers to be delivered. Police advised him that it was not a good idea to leave his vehicle running and lights on if he was not near his car.

DEATH THREAT: At the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE a client made a death threat to a Seattle Windermere businessman, claiming that he had cost him thousands of dollars and was going to kill him.

HEALTH CRISIS: At the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE, a man, who had just fainted at his doctor’s appointment, and was in no condition to drive, got in his car and drove away. The doctor called the police department but they could not locate the vehicle.

TRESPASSING: At the 20000 block of 55th place NE two workmen arrived at a residential location with out calling first and six months after they were initially suppose to arrive. The homeowner called 911 because they startled him and the police advised him to take issue up with the contractor.

TRESPASSING: At the 17000 block of Beach DR NE police were notified that nine juveniles, ranging in age from 10-16, were taking a late night swim. There was no drinking or drugs involved.

DOMESTIC ABUSE: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST a woman and her new boyfriend got into a fight. At some point the boyfriend hit her in the eye.  She took his keys and called her ex-boyfriend while her current boyfriend continued to verbally threaten her. The police advised her to go to her ex’s house for the night so the new boyfriend could not harm her; and they advised her to contact SPD to report assault.

August 10

WELFARE CHECK: At the 3500 block of NE 148th ST a male student, living in a boarding house, called police reporting that his roommate was flipping out and that this was an ongoing issue.  Police issued a welfare check on him. The male student also wanted to file an anti-harassment order.

FRAUD: At the 19000 block of 40th PL NE a woman called a residence claiming she sold water heaters and had the resident send her a check for $3000. The resident realized the water heater was only worth $150.

August 11

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: At the 16000 block of Bothell Way NE at the Shell station a man thought he saw a robbery in progress. The subjects were scared off before they were able to rob the store.

POSSIBLE RUNAWAY: At the 19000 block of Ballinger Way NE a Shoreline police officer called a woman and told her that her daughter had been caught drinking and had taken off on foot. She took off around 10 p.m. and hadn’t made it home yet. A runaway report was completed and faxed to dispatch for entry.

HEALTH CRISIS: At 35th AVE NE / Ballinger Way a man was found pulling off branches from trees and throwing them at cars. He also lunged at a jogger and was talking to himself.  The man indicated that he was homeless and was living at a shelter in Edmonds.

August 12

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY: At the 2600 block of NE 195th St. the manager of Ballinger estates provided information regarding possible criminal activity at the complex.

BICYCLIST WARNING: At the 16000 block of 37th AVE a bicyclist was warned for running a stop sign.

August 13

TRESPASSING: At the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE a young man approached a woman and her son and asked them if her son wanted to buy drugs from him. He told the mother that her son does drugs behind her back. The male dealing drugs was under the influence. He was escorted off the scene by mall security.

POSSIBLE GUN SHOT: At the 20000 block of 37th AVE NE a man thought he heard a gun shot about 3-4 blocks from his house.

BICYCLIST WARNING: At the 16000 block of 37th AVE NE 3 bicyclists were issued warnings for running a stop sign on 37th and 165th.

August 14

RECKLESS DRIVING: At the 15000 block of 33rd AVE NE a vehicle was doing burnouts and then slamming on his brakes as he drove around the block continuously.

POSSIBLE BREAK IN: AT the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE the glass to a residence’s front main door had been broken overnight.
