LFP Police Blotter: Aug 1-7

The following blotter items and information on arrests were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

August 1

DOMESTIC ISSUES: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST, a woman claimed her husband wasn’t paying child support while he was living rent-free with his girlfriend.

VANDALISM: At the 17000 block of Beach Dr. NE, an officer discovered graffiti on a picnic table. Photos were taken and the Public Works was notified for cleanup.

BICYCLIST: At the 15000 block of Bothell Way NE, a bicyclist was given a warning for not wearing a helmet or riding with a headlamp. 

August 2

NOISE VIOLATION: At the 3600 block of NE 155th ST, a complaint was made because of ongoing loud music. When approached, the neighbor got hostile and so the person called the police.

POSSIBLE BREAK IN: At the 3300 block of NE 202nd ST, a woman called police after finding suspicious gloves in her house and noticing that her cat was missing.

DOMESTIC ISSUE: At the 1900 block of 40th PL NE a woman called police stating that she had suspicions a family member was dealing drugs from her house. She wanted police to investigate the drug dealing. Police advised her to speak to witnesses and make a report.  

August 3

VEHICULAR ACCIDENT: At the 18000 block of Ballinger Way NE, a man was rear-ended. He declined aid and had his car towed away.

DOMESTIC ISSUE: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST, a woman called reporting possible drug activity and child neglect. The police advised her to call CPS to open an official investigation.

August 4

LOST CHILD: At NE 178th ST and Brookside BLVD NE, a small child, 4 or 5 years old, kept crossing NE 178th. He wasn’t paying attention to vehicles. They had to swerve and slam on breaks to miss him.

DOMESTIC ISSUE: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST, a resident of an apartment complex slammed his door so hard that the neighbor’s pictures fell off the wall. The man claimed to be angry at his pet birds and was screaming at them, slamming his door in frustration.

LOST DOG: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST, a dog was found barking in front of an apartment building. He did not have a collar or contact information. Police advised the caller to contact the manager of the building.

August 5

ROAD SIGN COMPLAINT: At 178th ST. and Ballinger Way NE, a huge sign warning motorcycles to be careful was creating a hazard. A caller complained that it was hard for him to get around the sign to see oncoming traffic.

JUVENILE MISCONDUCT: At the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE, a citizen called police regarding juvenile males at Log Boom park who were shooting off pellet guns near people and at waterfowl.

SUSPICIOUS GUN FIRE: At the 18000 block of Forest Park DR NE, a subject complained of gunshots that sounded like they came from a pistol.  Police checked the area but nothing was found

August 6

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: At the 15000 block of Bothell Way NE, a male person was seen swaying by the bus shelter. He admitted to be intoxicated and was given a courtesy transport to the Wagon Wheel in Kenmore.

DOMESTIC ISSUE: At the 19000 block of 31st AVE NE, a woman contacted police because her ex-husband was harassing her. After talking to the ex-husband he admitted he had been calling and visiting her hoping to save his marriage but there was no sign of physical harm or threats.

August 7

TRESPASSING: At the 17000 block of 40th AVE NE, a man called after returning home and finding about 50 political and sale yard signs in his yard. There was no damage to the property. Police advised the man to collect them and stack them on his front porch so whoever is missing the signs can collect them.

DOMESTIC ISSUE: At the 3300 block of NE 163rd ST, a woman called complaining that her husband had taken her son to a crack house. The police advised her to contact the courts to first obtain a parenting plan, secondly to explain the current situation as she sees it and suggest they modify the plan, thirdly to contact CPS and provide them with the concerns of drug use of her ex and her son so they might investigate the situation further.
