LFP Police Blotter: $2,500 Stolen From Home in LFP

The following blotter items and information from Sept. 12-18 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

September 12

ALTERCATION: At the 16000 block of 37th AVE NE a man was found outside his residence beat up. A neighbor found him but could not see him well enough to determine his injuries.

DISTURBING PEACE: At the 18000 block of 40th AVE PL NE a vehicle in the middle of the road was left running with the lights and radio on. Police contacted the owner and she wanted the vehicle towed. She told them it brought back too many old memories.

ACCIDENT: At the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE a garbage truck collided with a cement pole in a parking lot.

SISPICIOUS VEHICLE: At the 16000 block of 32nd PL a white van was seen circling around the neighborhood slowly, 10 times at least. The man driving the van put his hand over his face when he saw someone.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: At the 17000 block of 37th AVE NE officers walked through the school to help the staff.

DISTURBING PEACE: At the 14000 block of 37th AVE NE a man called complaining about his neighbor’s barking dog. He has called many times before. The dispatcher can hear the dog over the phone. He has called Animal Control in the past. Officers left a business card at the dog owner’s house requesting a call back.

September 14

HIT AND RUN: At the 17000 block of Ballinger Way NE two vehicles were involved in an accident. One vehicle left the scene. The other subject involved was a young male. He had rib cage pain and his air bags deployed. Officers called for aid and also called surrounding agencies for witnesses.

INTOXICATED MAN: At the 3300 block of NE 202nd ST an intoxicated man called police but the dispatchers were having a hard time understanding anything he was saying. He kept saying something about federal abuse and wanted to let the judge know that he was available. The Dispatcher told him she would do so and he thanked her profusely.

September 15

VEHICLE BREAK-IN: At the 1500 block of Lakeshore Blvd. NE a vehicle’s window was shattered. It was unknown if anything was taken. The vehicle was unlocked, and officers opened the door and found only a red flashlight left on the seat. 

DOMESTIC ISSUE: At the 2600 block of NE 195th ST a female person called complaining about her boyfriend and how he would not leave her apartment. The male person told officers he had no other place to stay. He is not on the lease and does not have a key to the apartment. The female person refused to let him inside. The male person was told to leave the property until he was asked to come back.

VEHICLE RUNS RED LIGHT: At the 14000 block of Bothell Way NE behind Walgreens a male was warned by officers for running a red light.

September 16

SHOPLIFTING: At the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE $30 hair extensions were stolen from Sally Beauty Supply.

SUSPICIOUS NOISE: At the 19000 block of Forest Park DR NE a man called police station claiming he heard 23 shots. Officers did an area check, speaking with different citizens. One thought it was gunfire. The other two people thought the noise was fireworks.

September 17

ALTERCATION: At the 4100 block of NE 186th ST a man followed another man home because he was tailgating him. The man pulled up in the driveway and tried to talk to the other male but he was incoherent and mumbling.

MISSING DOGS: At the 5300 block of NE 180th ST a man went to take care of his neighbor’s dogs and found the garage door open, the dogs missing and the lights on inside of resident’s home. Officer’s tried calling the owner but there was no response.

SEPTEMBER 18

DEATH THREAT: At he 2600 block of NE 195th ST a man threatened another man, saying he wanted to cut him up into pieces. Officers arrived at the suspect's home and he told them that he had answered a Craigslist advertisement for a job. He went in for an interview. After hearing the proposal for the job he did some research and found out it was a scam. He called the advertiser and over a few conversations things got heated and the man made the threatening comment.

BREAK IN: At the 16000 block of 37th AVE a house was broken into and up to $2,500 in cash was stolen.

ACCIDENT: At NE 186th ST and 41st PL NE a telephone pole was damaged. Wires were exposed but they were not causing any traffic issues. The telephone company was contacted.
