Lake Forest Park Police Blotter: May 23-29

The following are selected reports from the LFP Police

May 23

VANDALISM:  A man reported his rear drivers side tire was slashed sometime during the night of the May 21.

VEHICLE  ACCIDENT:  On 40th Place NE, a driver was trapped in his car with lacerations to his chin and head.  He was extricated by the Northshore Fire Department and transported to Harborview.  There was significant damage to vehicle.  The driver said he heard a loud thump as he was coming around the corner and then lost control.  The impact indicated high rate of speed, but there were no skids or braking evident.

May 24

HARASSMENT:   A man nears the 1700 block of Ballinger Way  N.E.  when another male acquaintance drives by and swears at him and says he is going to kill him.  The police advised the man to submit an application for an anti-harassment order.

TRESSPASSING:  Near the 4000 block of 178th St, a man was seen looking into others’ mailboxes. 

May 25

CIVIL ISSUE: A man in was in process of selling his car but had only received partial payment.  Now the subject is getting parking tickets while the vehicle is still licensed to owner.   The owner of the car was thinking he could just enter the vehicle as stolen and go take it from the purchaser, who still owes $500 along with the parking tickets. 

HEALTH CRISIS:  A male around 25 to 30 years old was in the Rite Aid Pharmacy when he requested a paramedic.  He said he wasn’t feeling well.  When the paramedics arrived the man told them he was not well and tired after walking to his friends after being kicked out of his house. 

VANDALISM:  Near the 3000 block of 178th St, a 2004 Toyota Camry was vandalized.   Someone attempted to gain entry by prying back the passenger side door lock cover and surrounding sheet metal, but no entry was gained.

May 26

SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A man observed a young adult standing in the shelter long after buses stopped running.  The young man said he was waiting for his girlfriend but declined to identify which apartment or complex she lived in.

AUTO THEFT:  Near the 17000 block of 29th Ave, a Toyota Prius was broken into.  Some items were taken, including registration and insurance cards.

TRESSPASSING.  A suspicious male peered through the windows during a ballet class.  One girl stated she’d seen him every Friday for several weeks.  Police advised the girl’s father the he should contact the mall management and the ballet instructor and inform them of the situation.

May 27

ALTERCATION:  Near the 15000 block of Bothell Way NE, a man was seen chasing another man down the street that had run from their car accident scene.

May 28

DOMESTIC ISSUE:  A woman from an apartment complex called the police complaining about yelling and loud stomping sounds coming from her upstairs neighbors.  The police arrived at scene and advised them to keep it down. 

LOST DOG:  A dog was found near the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE, with no chip or collar and was taken to PAWS by police. 

HARASSMENT:  A woman has been receiving threats from a man that originally was looking to be hired by her as a stenographer.  Now he is sending text message threats.  The man seems to know personal things about the woman and she thinks he hacked her email. 

May 29

HEALTH CRISIS:  A male was found half in the road an half on the sidewalk.  Aid came to the scene and transported him to NW Hospital. 

REFUSING TO PAY:  A cab driver dropped a man off near 45th Place NE.  The customer told the cab driver that he needed to go inside to get cash.  When he did not return the cab driver contacted police and told them he believed that the customer never went into his house and instead walked away into a wooded area.  The police checked the area but could not find him.
