The following blotter items were selected from Lake Forest Park Police reports from March 28-April 3.

 March 28

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A white man wearing a gray hoodie with an average build tried to break into a house in the 19000 block of Forest Park Drive N.E. by removing window screens.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Someone broke the passenger-side mirror in a black Porsche SUV in the 17000 block of Bothell Way N.E.

THEFT: Someone reported that a briefcase and laptop were stolen from a black Toyota Tacoma in the 16700 of 39th Place N.E.

 March 29

 THEFT: A person in the 4000 block of N.E. 204th St. reported that original paintings were missing along with some silverware and believes it was the housekeeper who stole them.

 March 30

 DISTURBANCE: A bus rider argued with a driver near the 17000 block of Bothell Way N.E. and refused to get off the bus. A man called police.  Police gave a trespass letter was given to the driver. The rider was warned for unlawful bus conduct and warned not to trespass at Towne Centre.

GRAFFITI: Someone tagged a fence in the 17000 block of 25th Ave. N.E. with graffiti.

 HARASSMENT: A woman in Ballinger Estates 2609 N.E. 195th St. reported that a neighbor made lewd comments to her and said he is able to spy on her while she is in her unit. An officer explained the process for an anti-harassment order and advised her to contact the apartment management.

 April 2

 FRAUD:  A white man in his early 30s ordered a large amount of food at Papa Murphy’s at 17171 Bothell Way N.E. and paid with traveler’s check but when the cashier asked for identification he ran off.

 MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Someone wrote racial slurs including the n-word with a marker on the garage door of a home in the 15900 block of 41st Ave. N.E.  A neighbor who was home did not see anyone. A fingerprint on a wall was too difficult to lift, according to police. The homeowner believes young kids committed the act.

 April 3

 DISTURBANCE: A neighbor in the 3600 block of N.E. 155th St. reported angry yelling and banging. It turned out that the tenant and three friends from Ethiopia were listening to music, having dinner and watching soccer and yelling after goals were scored. Police called the neighbor and explained the situation and the tenant and friends were fine with being contacted.
