Lake Forest Park Police Blotter, June 13-19

The following blotter items and information on arrests were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 13

VIOLATION: At the 18000 block of 178th Ave, illegal real estate signs were put up for Sundquist Homes.

BREAK-IN: At the 15000 block of Bothell Way NE, an officer responded to a break in. The front door was forced open and the entire interior was trashed. The victim said she had only lived in the apartment for three weeks and not many people knew where she lived or that she had moved.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A vehicle making a left on Ballinger way onto Bothell Way swerved off the road. The driver was speeding because he was late for his final exam. He was not injured.

June 14

FRAUD: At the 3100 block of NE 200th St, a man was arrested because of $500 in fraudulent charges from his credit card.  The charges were made in Kentucky and Ohio at Wal-Marts.

DOMESTIC ISSUES: In the 17000 block of Brookside Blvd. NE, a female was violently yelling at her boyfriend. She was intoxicated and when officers arrived she passed out on the floor. The boyfriend wants her out and asked a friend to come pick her up and take her to her sister’s house.

DRIVING INTOXICATED: At the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE, a man driving a grey Cadillac was seen pumping gas and was obviously very intoxicated. He could barely stand. When he drove away he almost hit the building. He continued toward Lake City and was pulled over by an officer in the parking lot of Taco Bell. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was impounded. 

June 15

HEALTH CRISIS: At the 3500 block of NE 187th St, an 87-year-old man called police requesting aid. He thought he was having a heart attack. Officers arrived on seen and the man went into full cardiac arrest. The aid was able to revive the subject and stabilize him. He was then transported to Northwest Hospital by medic unit.  

June 16

PERMIT REQUIRED: A cement truck was found on the Burke-Gilman trail near the 14000 block of the trail. No one had a permit or any authorization documentation. After several phone calls permission was in fact granted.

HEALTH CRISIS: A woman called requesting aid near the 19000 block of 51st St. Her mother just had a triple bypass and has fluid in her legs.  Her brother-in-law was on his way to her house. When he arrived he found she was not at home. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

STOLLEN PROPERTY: At the 3300 block of 163rd St., a woman called requesting officers. Her house had been broken into, computers and diamond ring were missing.  Officers had her sign a LFP Police department form, gave her a victim follow-up report, and photos and prints were taken.

June 17

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A single vehicle collision occurred near the 1800 block of 37th Ave. The vehicle was traveling southbound on SR 104 when it struck a jersey barrier and flipped onto its roof. The driver was uninjured and arrested for DUI. 

HEALTH CRISIS: A woman came into the LFP Police Department and reported a suspicious male by the wooden bridge, on the woman’s property.  She said she was uncomfortable with him there. Officers arrived on scene and asked the man to leave but he was unable to walk. He declined aid but gave them the number of the group home he currently resides.  Aid transported him to the home.  

June 18

VEHICLE ACCIDENT: An SUV failed to stop for a braking Camry as it stopped for a red light at the intersection of Bothell Way NE and Ballinger Way NE. The SUV lost control and started sliding sideways with its rear passenger corner impacting the Camry’s rear driver’s side corner. There were no injuries.

VEHICLE BREAKDOWN: Near the 15000 block of Bothell way NE a driver was seen standing outside of her car in the left hand turn lane. She said her car had just stopped running. An officer turned his car around and was able to align push bars to her rear bumper and then pushed her vehicle off the roadway. She called her boyfriend to come assist her further.

JUNE 19

HIT AND RUN: An unknown driver was initially traveling southbound near the 19000 block of 37thAve, when he lost control. He slid into a parked car. He then fled, going northbound. A witness thinks she got the first three digits of his license plate.

WELFARE CHECK: A woman living in a shared house near the 16000 of 35th Ave. NE, called the police wanting aid for her housemate. When officers arrived they found the woman passed out, unresponsive and smelling of liquor. After some time they got her to stand and they walked her to her room. They then advised her not to drink so much.
