Lake Forest Park Police Blotter: Feb. 1-9

Burglaries, biting and fighting dogs, fraud, graffiti and paintball vandalism

The following blotter items were culled from Lake Forest Park police reports from Feb. 1 to Feb. 9, 2011.

 Feb. 1

 ANIMAL: A woman reported that her dog got into a fight with another dog in the 19500 block of 55th Ave. N.E. while being walked by her dog walker. The woman’s dog was on a leash--the other larger dog that required medical attention was not.

 BURGLARY: Suspects pried open and broke a glass door to get inside of a home on 40th Place N.E. They took two televisions, three laptops and jewelry. Prints were taken from the inside door lock.

 MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Several signs on N.E. 182nd St. and 35th Ave. N.E. were damaged by paintballs.

 FRAUD: A female person from the 3500 block of N.E. 153rd St. said her ex-boyfriend stole her debit card and took a total of $1,300 from her. Bank returned her money after she filed a police report.

 MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Paintball damage was found on a stop sign and street sign at N.E. Perkins Way and 23rd Ave. N.E.

 HAZARD: A sick raccoon was found in the roadway at 3000 N.E. 180th St.

 Feb. 2

 MALICIOUS MISCHIEF:  Someone vandalized a Kidney Center company vehicle by smashing the back window while it was parked in the 14500 block of Bothell Way N.E.

 GRAFITTI:  Someone painted “I.M.Q. GRAVE” in black spray paint by the main doors of the Kidney Center in the 14500 block of Bothell Way N.E. overnight.

 BURGLARY:  Some took items from a residence and a new black Jeep Wrangler Sahara from the 19100 block of Ballinger Way N.E.  The suspects entered through the back window of the home and stole the keys. A gun was also inside of the stolen vehicle.

 FRAUD: A woman in the 17400 block of Ballinger Way reported that an unauthorized charge of $1,800 was made on her debit card in Kenya.

 ANIMAL:  A man in the 17700 block of 28th Ave. N.E. said he was bitten by a pitbull on  a leash after he tried to pet it after the owner said it was friendly. His skin was broken through his coat. Officer informed the man to contact animal control.

 Feb. 3

 THEFT: Someone broke into a 2008 Chevy Cobalt in the 14800 block of Bothell Way N.E. and took several items.

 Feb. 5

 THEFT: Someone, possibly a new housekeeper, stole several items including jewelry, a firearm and gold coins from a home in the  4000 block of N.E. 204th St.

 Feb. 6

 BURGLARY: Someone possibly a white male in his mid-20s wearing a wildy colorful Miami Dolphins hoodie, jeans and athletic shoes, kicked in a deadbolted door and  stole up to $7,000 in jewelry and a small, decorative Scottish blade from a home in the 2500 block of N.E. 191st St.

 Feb. 7

 VEHICLE PROWL:   A wallet was taken out of an unlocked car in the 15000 block of Bothell Way N.E.

 ANIMAL:  A neighbor concerned about a woman feeding ducks at a park next to his residence in the 17300 block Beach Drive N.E. advised her not to feed them and printed out literature for her regarding the rules. The woman, in her mid 40s with blond/gray hair, drove her Buick LeSabre to his residence and ripped up the literature on his lawn. The woman is at the park a few times a week with a couple garbage bags of food. Officer advised the neighbor to call if she is feeding the ducks again.

 Feb. 8

 GRAFFITI: Someone spray painted “TWNZ34LIFE” in pink spray paint on a wall Sunday night in the 19300 block of 55th Ave. N.E.

 VEHICLE PROWL: Someone stole the hub caps off a vehicle parked in the Town Center mall parking lot.

 BURGLARY:  Someone forced their way through a back door to entry a home in the 3000 block of N.E. 178th St.  Suspect stole a laptop and digital camera.

 

Feb. 9

ANIMAL: A man in the 18000 block of 25th Ave. N.E. said two dogs in a neighbor’s backyard constantly bark  and the owners get home very late in the evening. The dispatcher could hear loud barking in the background. An officer contacted the homeowner and she said they were working on the puppies barking. She took offense that someone would complain. Officer informed her that she could be fined if the problem continued.
