iPads Stolen at Shoreline High Schools

The following blotter items range from Jan. 10, 2013, to Jan. 17, 2013. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

Hang onto those iPads at school. Two were reported stolen from backpacks within three days. One was stolen Jan. 14 at Shorewood High School, 17300 Fremont Ave. N. Another was reported stolen Jan. 17 at Shorecrest High School, 15343 25th N.E.

Here are other selected incidents reported to Shoreline Police through Jan. 17.

Jan. 10

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: A break-in was reported at the abandoned school gym of Aldercrest Elementary, 2800 N.E. 200 St.

Jan. 11

DINE AND DASH: A person ate at Denny’s, 904 N. 155 St., and had no money to pay.

Jan. 13

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY: A male tried to return a pair of Land’s End sweaters worth $71 at Sears, 15711 Aurora Ave. N. The sweaters had previously been stolen.

SMASH AND GRAB: A window was broken and a purse was stolen from a vehicle at Twin Ponds Park.

WRONG NUMBER: A female reported receiving “very provocative text messages from unknown people.” She’s not sure how they got her number—possibly through a Craigslist ad.

AUTO THEFT: A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Linden 2 Apartment in the 14500 block of Stone Ave. N.

Jan. 14

SHOPLIFTING: Two people were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at the Goodwill store, 14500 15th Ave. N.E.

FORGERY: A fake money order was used to buy clothing at the Highland Ice Arena, 180045 Aurora Ave. N.

HOME BURGLARY: The front door was kicked in and coins stolen from a home in the 1500 block of N.E. 170th St.

Jan. 15

WEAPONS, DRUGS AT SCHOOL: Police contacted an intoxicated boy who was urinating in the parking lot of Parkwood Elementary School, 1815 N. 155 St. He had a switchblade, brass knuckles and marijuana on him.

Jan. 16

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Someone tried to kick in an inside storage door to a room that holds music equipment at Bethel Lutheran Church, 17418 8th Ave. N.E.

LARCENY: Someone broke a vehicle window at Richmond Beach Park, 2021 N.W. 190th St.

SMASH AND GRAB: Someone broke into a vehicle parked at Shoreline Community College in front of the gym and stole items purchased from Costco.

Jan. 17

VANDALISM: New graffiti was reported in the men’s bathroom at Cromwell Park, 18030 Meridian Ave. N. Police believe the same suspect vandalized Richmond Highlands Park in December.

MAIL THEFT: Someone stole a package off a front porch in the 19400 block of Ashworth Ave. N.

THEFT: Someone jacked up a vehicle in the 17100 block of 15th Ave. N.E. and stole the tires and wheels.

STOLEN CAR: A 1994 Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot at Ballinger Commons in the 19900 block of Sunnyside Drive N.

SCHOOL THREATS: A suspect reportedly used Facebook to threaten to kill someone. The threat was reported at Shorewood High School, 17300 Fremont Ave. N.
