Hit and Run Driver Drinks Again, Returns to Scene

The following blotter items range from November 15, 2012 – November 20, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

 

On Tuesday, November 20th, a drunken driver hit an occupied vehicle in the 19500 block of Richmond Beach Road at close to 3:10pm.  The suspect decided to park his/her car down the street by his/her home to avoid a DUI.  Still thirsty, the suspect drank some more and returned to the scene of the crime.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION:  A female suspect had liquid THC (the active ingredient in marijuana, the scientific name is Delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol) at Kellogg Middle School.  The suspect contacted young men at Cromwell Park and gave them the THC.

THREATS:  A man in the 19800 block of 25th Ave NE was nervous about his jilted ex-gal pal impeaching his reputation with words.  No crime was committed.

November 17

LIQUOR/TOBACCO VIOLATIONS:  After drinking alcohol, two young men walked down the 18500 block of Firlands Way and argued with each other.  They were arrested for MIP (minor in possession).

MENTAL COMPLAINTS:  A person in the 3000 block of NE 149th Street is paranoid and thinks there are people in his/her attic.  He/she discharged a handgun upon law enforcement arrival.

VANDALISM:  An unknown male suspect kicked a car in response to a road rage incident at Gateway Plaza, 18300 block of Aurora Ave. 

VANDALISM:  A culprit vandalized a home in the 17800 block of Burke Place North.  The culprit broke a glass slider door with a BB gun.

November 18

LARCENY:  A female left a cab without paying her $91 fare.  This happened nearby the Fred Meyer at 18325 Aurora Ave North.

HIT & RUN:  A male suspect was involved in a hit and run incident not far from The Hide Away Casino.  He was arrested at his residence in Seattle.

November 19

AUTO THEFT:  A car was stolen from the 14900 block of Linden Ave North.

LARCENY:  A medical bag was stolen from a car in the 1800 block of N 148th Street.  The left rear window of the car was broken.  There is a possible connection to a friend’s “unsavory” ex-boyfriend.

LARCENY at FRED MEYER:  A victim was shopping at 18325 Aurora Ave North on Monday, November 19.  A suspect stole the victim’s wallet.

LARCENY at SHORELINE POOL:  A victim helped a suspect steal when the victim left his/her car door unlocked nearby 19030 – 1st Ave NE.  A wallet and a cell phone were stolen from the vehicle as it was parked in the lot by the pool.

DUI:  A person was arrested for driving while drunk nearby Meridian Elementary School (intersection of N 175th Street and Meridian Ave North.)  The person blew a .278 and .271 close to 1:30pm.

FRAUD:  A woman in the 1600 block of N 180th Street had checks stolen, forged and cashed in various locations.

LARCENY:  A victim in the 19500 block of N 180th Street believes that a window-repair person took a ring from the victim's home.

BURGLARY, NON-FORCED ENTRY:  Unknown suspects gained entry into a home in the 15900 block of Meridian Ave North.  The suspects stole electronics and jewelry.

BURGLARY, NON-FORCED ENTRY:  Culprit(s) walked into a home in the 15800 block of 9th Ave NE.  The culprit(s) walked out with a laptop and two guitars.

November 20

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, FORCED ENTRY:  A suspect broke into Shorecrest High School and was discovered just before midnight in the midst of unlawful activity.

DEATH INVESTIGATIONS:  Two deaths happened on this date, the details are: (1) A person passed away in his/her bedroom in the 200 block of NW 195th Street at roughly 1:45am.  (2) A person was found on the floor of his/her bedroom in the 1200 block of NE 145th Street close to 10:45am.  

LARCENY:  A woman in the 14500 block of Wallingford Avenue left her wallet in her car then parked and locked her vehicle at close to 8:00pm.  The next morning, she found one of car window’s broken and her wallet gone from the glove box.

VANDALISM:  A victim parked his/her car in a lot at Shoreline Community College.  Upon return to the vehicle, the victim found that his/her car window was broken. 

VEHICLE PROWLER at SHORELINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE:  A female student parked her car in the parking lot behind the school.  When she returned to her vehicle, she found that a culprit had smashed out a window of the car.  The car was given to her by her father but still registered under the dad’s name.  The female student is willing to assist in prosecution.

MORE THAN ONE INCIDENT of TRESPASS:  (1) A woman outstayed her welcome at Haggen Food (1201 N 175th Street) and was trespassed at close to 9:17pm. (2) A man concealed liquor in his jacket and was trespassed from the Safeway at 15332 Aurora Ave North at approximately 11:45pm.
