Help Out Richmond Highlands Families Affected by Fire

Fund set up at Chase Bank; donations also accepted at Richmond Highlands Neighborhood Association meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22

The Richmond Highlands Neighborhood Association is meeting Tuesday, November 22, from 7-8:30 pm, and it is asking everyone to come out in support of the families who were impacted by the fire in the 300 block of N.W. 177th St., Wednesday night.

One home was completely lost, and two others were damaged - one which forced the family out of their house for awhile. The fire was caused by fireplace ashes left in a bucket on the deck of the house that is a complete loss, according to Shoreline Fire investigators.

Richmond Highlands has set up an account atto accept donations for the fire-impacted families. People can donate at the Midvale branch, to the Richmond Highlands Fire Fund. The neighborhood will also accept checks or cash on Tuesday evening, along with other donations.

The group is asking people to drop by the Rec Center, 16544 Fremont Ave N (just south of Shorewood High School) on Tuesday evening between 7 and 8:30 pm.

They have a wish list of some things that would be great to bring; cash, grocery or store gift cards or gas cards would be gratefully accepted. The neighborhood association will match the first cash donations up to $250. For updates on the needs of these families, please check the neighborhood website: www.richmondhighlands.org.
