Shoreview Park Vandalized

The following blotter items range from September 19, 2012 – September 22, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

September 19

LARCENY at HAGGEN’S GROCERY STORE:  A person observed two white males (16-20 years old) shoplifting alcohol and apple juice.  This happened at 1201 N 175th Street.

LARCENY AT FOREST CREEK CONDOMINIUMS:  Some person(s) broke into the driver’s side rear window and stole items from a car in the 19800 block of 15th Ave NE.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES AT FIRCREST:  A suspicious substance was found in a state mental health facility in 15200 block of 15th Ave NE.  The Fircrest staff said the substance might have been semen.

CRIMINAL WARRANT:  A man was looking through the trash in a private, town home community. He was also peering over fences nearby NE 145th Street and 31st Ave NE.  The police found he had an outstanding warrant with Pierce County.

September 20

MAIL THEFT:  A person in the 14700 block of 27th Ave NE reported that a suspect stole mail from his/her mailbox.  The suspect took a check, washed it and re-wrote “Rodot Serpano” for $400.

LARCENY AT ECHO SHORES CONDOMINIUMS:  A suspect(s) entered a private residence in the 19500 block of Echo Lake Place North.  The suspect(s) stole jewelry and silver place settings.

MISSING PERSON:  A 19-year-old man has been missing for five days from the 2200 block of NE 201st Court.

SUICIDE ATTEMPTS:  A man in the 15200 block of Stone Lane North tried to kill himself by cutting his arms with a razor blade.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES:  A woman in the 15400 block of 15th Ave NE reported to police that someone ran through her backyard.  She confirmed old damage to a deadbolt lock.

September 21

FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT:  Neighbors say an African American woman in the 15100 block of Stone Lane North was sitting on the grass at the curb after she was assaulted.  A suspect dragged the woman out of her apartment after hitting her with a closed fist several times in the face.  The suspect later pushed the woman down the stairs and tried to drag her again by grabbing her by her hair.

BURGLARY:  A person who lives in California is responsible for a home in the 18200 block of Fremont Ave North.  The person confirmed that a sister owned the home until the sister died in February 2012.  Gold coins were reported lost or stolen.  There was no sign of a forced entry.

VEHICLE RECOVERY at BALLINGER COMMONS APARTMENTS:  Someone stole a motor vehicle and “dumps it” with switched plates in the 600 block of NE 21st Street.

ATTEMPTED SHOP LIFTING AT SEARS:  Someone with outstanding warrants tried to steal things from Sears at 15711 Aurora Ave N.

LARCENY AT COSTCO:  Someone cut a lock and took a bike for keeps at 1175 N 205th Street.

FIGHT and DISTURBANCE:  A person was badly injured in the 300 block of NW 189th Street.  The person said they fought with an “unknown” male.

September 22

LARCENY AT CLUB HOLLYWOOD CASINO:  A woman claimed that a cell phone was hers even though it did not belong to her.  More than likely, the staff at 16716 Aurora Ave North knew the suspect.

LARCENY:  A man in the 17200 block of 3rd Ave NW reported that he parked his car on a residential street near a city park.  Someone smashed a window, entered the car and took items.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES:  A victim’s front and back plates were stolen and replaced with a mix of different plates from other cars.  This happened on or near the premise of Shari’s Restaurant, 15252 Aurora Ave N.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED:  A person was arrested nearby N 175th Street and Meridian Avenue for driving with a revoked license and expired license tabs.

VANDALISM:  Someone(s) used paint pens to write various tags (New Yak, KLOK, BLASTED, SLEIDR) at Shoreview Park, 700 NW Innis Arden.
