Fender-Bender at Jack in the Box Leads to Assault: Shoreline Police Blotter

Police also responded to several burglaries and a report of a stolen laptop at the Home Depot self check-out station.

The following information is selected from Shoreline Police reports for June 2 to June 9. Where an arrest is noted, it doesn't indicate a conviction.

June 2

Liquor/tobacco violations: An intoxicated person was contacted at a closed city park at 2021 NW 109th St at around 10 p.m.

June 3

Burglary: A shed behind a home in the 120 block of NE 184th St. The door was pried open, and three electric saws were taken.

Larceny: Six spare wheels and tires were stolen from the U-Haul facility at 16503 Aurora Ave. N.

Burglary: A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of NW 196th Place. The suspect(s) entered the home through an unlocked garage.

Larceny: A laptop was stolen from the self check out station at Home Depot on North 205th Street.

June 4

Burglary: Unknown suspect(s) broke into a home in the 230 block of N. 148th St., stealing several items before being interrupted by a neighbor. The front door was broken open to gain access.

Assault: An incident of road rage and assault took place at the Jack in the Box parking lot on Aurora Avenue North after a driver accidentally hit another vehicle while backing out of a parking space.

Mail theft: Mail was reported stolen in the 160 block of NE 186th St.

Burglary: Electronics and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 16700 block of 8th Ave. NE. The front door was kicked in to gain access.

June 5

Burglary: A Radio Shack store at 18407 Aurora Ave. N was burglarized.

Burglary: A burglary was attempted at a marijuana collective on 15th Avenue Northeast.

Auto theft: A 1996 Honda Civic was stolen while parked in front of a home in the 16800 block of 11th Place NE.

Auto theft: A 1997 Subaru Legacy wagon was stolen from the 18300 block of Dayton Place North.

June 6

Vandalism: Vandalism was reported in the bathroom at the East ballfields in Hamlin Park, 16006 15th Ave. NE.

Burglary: Unknown suspect(s) broke the front door of a home in the 110 NE Perkins Way to gain access sometime during the day.

June 7

Vandalism: The back window of a vehicle was smashed while it was parked on the street near the intersection of Meridian Avenue North and North 175th. Nothing was stolen.

Drunkenness: An individual was kicked out of the Rodeway Inn for drunkenness, then proceeded to drink from a bottle of rubbing alcohol on the sidewalk. He/she was sent to detox.

Cyber-bullying: Officers investigated a report of cyber-bullying involving students at Kellogg Middle School and a website called ask.fm.

Larceny: An unknown suspect walked out of the Safeway at 17202 15th Ave. NE carrying two half-gallon bottles of liquor.

June 8

Trespassing: A male suspect was accused of using a stick with adhesive to steal money from the offering box at St. Mark's Catholic Church. The church declined to press charges but did ask the individual be trespassed from the premises.

Auto theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from an auto sales lot at 16200 Aurora Ave. N. 

Larceny: Tools were reported stolen from an unlocked garage in the 200 block of NE Perkins Way.

June 9

Mail theft: A resident in the 100 block of N 195th St. returned home from a business trip to find his mail was stolen.
