Family Flees House Fire in LFP

About $75,000 in damage caused

A family escaped a house fire in Lake Forest Park Tuesday evening but their home suffered an estimated $75,000 in damage.

A couple and their son had gone to bed for the evening and were unaware of the fire. Their other son came home, saw the smoke, evacuated the family, and then called 911.

The Northshore Fire Department responded at 8:07 p.m. to the fire in a one-story single family residence in the 3000 block of NE 190th Street.  Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the eaves of the house. Fire broke out in an attic that was filled with storage. Firefighters had the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes.
