Driver Suffers Minor Injuries in RV Rollover Collision on I-5

Passengers leave scene to get help, found later at church near 185th St.

A recreational vehicle rolled over on I-5 before 5 a.m. this morning resulting in minor injuries to the driver but the passengers escaped injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The RV’s driver Tricia Arthur of Albany, Ore., struck the guardrail and the vehicle rolled onto the right shoulder as it approached the 175th St. exit in Shoreline. Initially, she said had two passengers, her 3-year-old son and male friend, but after a thorough search no passengers were located.  The driver received minor injuries and stated she may have gotten a flat tire causing her to lose control.

At 7:51 a.m. King County Washington State Patrol communications received a call reporting that a man and a small boy were at a church off of 185th street in the Shoreline area where they had gone after being involved in a collision on Interstate 5.  The investigating trooper from the RV collision arrived at the church and contacted David Adams, a 41-year-old from Albuquerque, N.M.  The man stated that they had both been asleep in the back of the RV when the collision occurred and had gotten a ride off the freeway to go for help.  Both were uninjured during the collision.
